eufy RoboVac 11S vs. 11S MAX

The RoboVac 11S Max has stronger suction and this is the only difference between the two

eufy RoboVac 15C MAX

Our Choice

eufy RoboVac 15C MAX

One of the cheapest Wi-Fi-enabled models with strong suction

The eufy RoboVac 15C MAX is the same 11S Max but it supports the app and can be controlled via Alexa or Google Home.

eufy RoboVac 11S MAX vs. RoboVac 15C MAX

Both are great for homes with pets and thin carpets.

  • App / Wi-Fi support. The RoboVac 15C MAX integrates into the EufyHome app and can be controlled by the app and remote controller. Also, if you have Alexa-enabled devices or Google Home, the RoboVac 15C MAX can be controlled by simple voice commands.
  • Find My Robot Option. In the app, you can identify the eufy RoboVac 15C MAX location with the Find My Robot feature.

In short, one model supports Wi-Fi while the other does not. So far, we recommend getting the eufy RoboVac 15C MAX since you get the app support and smart voice system compatibility, but if you don’t care much about it, go with the RoboVac 11S MAX.

What is the eufy RoboVac "G" series?

The “G” means it's a gyroscope-guided model; the robot has a purposeful cleaning pattern, and as a result, is more efficient. All of them are Wi-Fi-enabled, have the same height, and automatically increase suction on the carpet. None of them includes a remote control. The Hybrid models are 2-in-1 robots that include mopping attachments. Those have smaller dustbins and a water tank.

The G series is not suitable for big homes

What is the eufy Hybrid model line? Eufy With Mopping

The Hybrid represents the additional mopping option.

There are three models: G30 Hybrid, G40 Hybrid, and L60 Hybrid

eufy RoboVac G30 Hybrid SES

A gyro-guided with mopping

Can do mopping and sweeping with no missing spots

The robot includes two types of mopping cloths: reusable and disposable. Suitable for small homes with hard floor areas and low-pile carpets.

eufy G40+ vs. G40+ Hybrid

The only difference between the G40+ and G40+ Hybrid is the mopping feature. Unlike the RoboVac G40, the RoboVac G40 Hybrid includes mopping attachments and has a smaller dustbin.

Best gyroscope-guided

eufy G40 Hybrid

The G40 and G40 Hybrid have more power and a self-emptying feature. The G40+ is not on sale on Amazon and taking a count that the G30 Hybrid SES and G40 Hybrid don't have much of a price difference, I would recommend getting the eufy G40 Hybrid.

Find My Robot

This option helps to find a device when it's lost. All Wi-Fi-enabled models support this feature.

BoostIQ Technology

A eufy automatically increases suction on carpets. This feature provides deep cleaning on thin carpets. All models have this option.

The eufy S and C lines navigate more or less randomly. Those models do not remember your floor plan, can not be sent to clean a specific room, and as a result, are not efficient. I would recommend those robots for a smaller place like a studio apartment.

The G lineup is guided by a gyroscope following a purposeful pattern and is more suitable for bigger places as they have fewer chances to leave some spots untouched compared to the C line.

The L and X series are the only robots guided by Lidar, save a cleaning map, have the most advanced navigation, can be sent to clean a specific room/area, and can be used in a bigger house.

L series

The L series includes three models: eufy Clean L50, eufy Clean L60, and L60 Hybrid. The series doesn't lift the mop, and there is no auto-fill or wash the pad. It doesn't recognize objects and has a simple self-emptying station.

eufy L60 Hybrid

eufy L60 Hybrid

Budget Hybrid with LDS

Hybrid with self-emptying station

eufy Clean L50 vs. Clean L60 vs. L60 Hybrid

The only difference between the eufy Clean L50 and Clean L60 is suction power.

The Hybrid modification comes with a mopping attachment. So if you are looking for a mopping robot, get the L60 Hybrid since it doesn't have much of a price difference but you get some extra features like mopping.

X series

The X series has four models in the lineup: the X8 Hybrid, X8 Pro, X9 Pro, and X10 Pro OMNI. The latest models have object recognition and upgraded self-cleaning base with water containers and more mopping features.

eufy X8 Pro

The X8 Pro doesn't have washing functions, it only empties the dustbin. It's guided by Lidar but doesn't have object recognition. For homes with low-pile carpets and if you don't need extra mopping features.

Affordable

eufy X8 Pro

Twin turbine technology

The first dual-cyclone technology in robot vacuum. Each turbine generates 4,000 Pa suction.

The eufy X10 Pro is one of the cheapest self-emptying robot vacuums on the market. It has a self-emptying base.

X8 Hybrid vs. X8 Pro

The two have the same specification list, but the Hybrid version comes with mopping attachments while the Pro does not do mopping. The Pro version comes with a self-emptying station.

eufy Robot Vacuum and Mop X9 Pro

Best Pick

eufy Robot Vacuum and Mop X9 Pro

Auto-wash cleaning station. The best mopping robot in the lineup

The eufy X9 Pro is the only truly mopping robot. It doesn't have a self-emptying function but has two water containers that wash the mopping pads for better results. The robot lifts the mops for up to 12 mm when steps on carpet and avoids objects it recognizes. This is the perfect match for those who want a better mopping experience for $500.

However, the station does not auto-fill the water tank, instead, it washes and dries the pads with hot air.

eufy X10 Pro Omni

Best Pick

eufy X10 Pro Omni

High-precious map and efficient navigation

The X10 Pro OMNI's station has two water containers and a disposable bag. Suitable for big homes, pet owners, hard floors, and medium-pile carpets.

The station empties the dustbin, refills a water tank, washes and dries the mopping pads. Additionally, the robot builds a map in which you can set no-go zones or make the robot clean a particular room.

The eufy X10 Pro Omni is a premium robot vacuum

eufy Robot Vacuum Omni S1 Pro

Editor's choice

eufy Robot Vacuum Omni S1 Pro

Top-tier model

The most powerful in the lineup

The top-tier robot and a different all-in-one-station. The body holds two water containers for clean and wasted water so compared to its competitors, the S1 Pro is built differently.

This is the only robot with an RGB camera for mapping and identifying objects.

TruCourse mapping leverages advanced dToF LIDAR thanks to which the robot has a short body that gets under most furniture.

10-in-1 UniClean Station offers auto emptying, auto washing, auto refilling, auto heated air drying, Eco-Clean Ozone, auto wastewater collection, auto detergent dispensing, LCD touch control, sealed dust bag, and 20% faster charging*.

*Based on the eufy internal test, charging is 20% faster than the previous generation's.

A newer design body is made for corner cleaning. When mopping, the robot lifts its mop by 0.5 inches to keep the carpet dry.

The Omni S1 Pro is a better mop with upgraded obstacle avoidance. The X10 Pro Omni is a great buy for the price with all the premium features and a lower price tag.

eufy OMNI C20

Editor's choice

The OMNI C20 has a self-cleaning station similar to the premium S1 with a transparent design for water level checks. It uses iPath Laser navigation but does not recognize objects that's why it is cheaper. It uses two rotating rollers, the station washes, dries the mops, empties the dustbin yet does not refill the water tank.

The robot is ideal if you need premium features for a lower price

Hello,

I have a home over 3 levels and a mixture of hardwood flooring with rugs and floors that are just carpeted. I also have pets in my home.
I’m lost with the array of options available.
The models that have caught my eye are the robovac 15C Max, the G40+ and the x8. Would you recommend any of these or an alternative?

Laura ⋅ 2 years, 1 month ago #

I found a Robovac G15 which is not referenced in your article.
Can you tell me something about it?
Thankd.

Natalie ⋅ 2 years, 1 month ago #

Hi Laura. This is a model I have never heard about before. A quick search tells me that it is very similar to the RoboVac G20, it looks the same and has the same specifications. I take that the G15 and G20 are made for different markets, but the two are basically the same model.

Hi! I need a recommendation for a 4,000 square foot commercial space - all hard flooring, and no wi-fi. So far the 30C Max has been working pretty well, but looking for an upgrade. What would work best with no internet? I'm fine turning it on each day after it has docked & recharged from the day before.

Kent Ross ⋅ 2 years, 11 months ago #

I need a basic robot vacuum for daily cleaning of a ~1,000 sq. ft. area, half short rug, half bluestone tile. I want "no-go" zones, but do not want to use magnetic strips- ideally a "light tower" or via an app. Wifi and Alexa integration would be nice, but is not required. And... low cost! I'd prefer the unit to be under $200 if possible. Any yes, we have cats. Thanks for any guidance.

Kent Ross ⋅ 2 years, 11 months ago #

Forgot to say, mapping is not required, and the "random bounce" logic is fine.

Natalie Red ⋅ 2 years, 11 months ago #

A very hard choice tbh. You might find a eufy G30 Edge with a discount or C30 Max. Those two come with a magnetic boundary. But battery life might not be enough to cover such a big space.

I am not sure what you can get for such a price if it's not with magnetic stripes. All Roombas for the price have an even smaller battery. No-Go zones are only presented in more expensive models.

LoneTreeStudios ⋅ 3 years ago #

My apartment has dark brown (walnut) vinyl flooring tile, are these units (or robo vacs in general) going to have problems with that, thinking they are constantly at a drop off? Thanks!

Natalie Red ⋅ 2 years, 11 months ago #

Hi there, as far as I know, the robots have more issues with black carpets other than tile. Most robots see it as a drop-off and the eufy is no exception.
However, I believe with a tile it should not be problem tho I haven't tested myself as my tile is just brown, not very dark.

Thank you for a great article! With the great sales going on right now, I am going to buy my son an entry level Eufy. He has a short haired dog who sheds some. Between the 11S and the 25C - both great deals, which would you choose? Thank you in advance!

Natalie Red ⋅ 3 years ago #

Hi there, I would suggest getting a Max version as it has stronger suction and is only like $20 more expensive than the 11S especially if there are any carpets or a dog.

Kareena ⋅ 3 years, 6 months ago #

Hi Natalie

Thank you for such a detailed post :)
I was looking to get either the G10 Hybrid or the G30 Hybrid models. I am a bit unclear on how exactly the mapping function works in both of these.

1. In case I need specific rooms only to be cleaned, is there a zone cleaning feature where I could pick the room name that i want cleaned on the phone app ? Or do I need to manually place it in the room and shut all doors so that it wont clean any other room?

2. In case of a full house schedule, does it go around cleaning the whole house first, and then start the mopping function ? Or does it clean and then mop one room simultaneously first, then move to clean and mop the next room? (similar to the MI robovac)

3. In the MI 2-in-1 robot, there is an option to fit a larger 'dry only' dustbox if you choose a 'sweeping only' mode. It comes with 2 compartments - one dry + wet, and the second only dry, giving it more vacuuming capacity. Is this an option with the G10 / G30 hybrid as well? Or is there one standard dry + wet compartment?

4. Final question, some robots come with modes for the mop feature as well (similar to the standard and max modes in the vacuum features). Does the G10/G30 have this feature for mopping as well? (In a high mode, the robot would dispense more water for an intense clean).

Thank you in advance :)

Natalie Red ⋅ 3 years, 6 months ago #

Hi Kareena, thank you for all your questions. Let's see what we can do to make it clear for you :)

1. The gyroscope-guided robots do not have such function as a room cleaning or zoned cleaning as they do not save a created map. As a result, they don't know where to clean the next time. So all you can do is to run the robot in a closed room and then manually dock it back.

2. If you run the robot with mopping attachments on, it would do mopping and sweeping at the same time. If you remove the water tank, the robot would only do vacuuming. So basically with mopping attachments, the robot does cleaning 2-in-1 (vacuum + mop). If you have carpets, you'd have to use virtual boundaries only the G30 Hybrid supports.

3. The eufy G10 and G30 Hybrid come with a separate dustbin and water tank. When you remove the water tank, the robot would only do vacuuming.

4. Yes, the eufy robots that have an electronic water tank which means, you can control water level output. Normally there are three modes, low, medium and high.

If you have any questions, let me know. I hope I didn't confuse you more with my answers :)

Barbara ⋅ 3 years, 8 months ago #

Hi, Natalie,
What are boundary strips for? Are boundary strips and magnetic strips the same thing? Why do some models have them and not others? In other words, how do I know if I need them? Do they have anything to do with the vacuum not falling down stairs? Thanks.

Natalie Red ⋅ 3 years, 8 months ago #

Hi Barbara, good question :) You are right, the boundary strips and magnetic strips are the same things. The models that include one in the box have a sensor that recognizes the strips. The models lacking the boundary tapes cannot recognize one as they lack the sensor.

The magnetic tapes are designed to block the robot from certain places. For example, a zone where the robot can potentially get stuck ie has cords on the floor, or pet's places can be covered with the strips and your Eufy would not cross that area.

As to falling down the stairs, all robots have cliff sensors that prevent them from drop-offs.

Does that help?

Hi Natalie,

Can you give any insight on the mapping features of the G and L series? It seems like the biggest issue people have is that the device forgets the previous map and needs to be reset often. How time consumings is it to map out your home out and how often is forgetting the map? The mapping is the reason I am looking into these series but feel like C series would be a lot less of a hassle.

Thanks!

Natalie Red ⋅ 3 years, 11 months ago #

Hi Tatiana, I have never tested a eufy but from what I can say, the G series always starts a new map. That's how gyroscope-based robots work. The L series saves a map after cleaning so the next time it starts cleaning, it would already have the map. The Lidar-guided robots complete a map after every cleaning, you don't have to run it 10 times to get the mapping done.

Does that help?

Tatiana ⋅ 3 years, 11 months ago #

Thank you for quick response!

Yes this helps. I thought I was creating the map myself which could be very frustrating if I had to recreate it often.

Natalie Red ⋅ 3 years, 11 months ago #

Nope, the robot does it automatically :)

Canan ⋅ 4 years ago #

Hi

Thank you for such a helpful post!
I want to.have some information about g30 verge. Even the eufy website doesn't let me compare g30.verge and others on the comparison part.
I have a 11 s max, I like it but i was wondering if a g30verge would work better?
Do you have any ideas?

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years ago #

Hi Canan, I just figured Eufy has released a new model, the G30 Verge :) From what I can say based on specs, it has a new Path Tracking Sensor which makes navigation more efficient. With that sensor, the robot does not get confused as easily and creates a more precise map.

Compared to the 11S Max, the G30 Verge has a purposeful cleaning pattern so it does not miss a spot when cleans. Other specifications seem to be the same; in terms of cleaning performance, both do the job but the G30 Verge would cover the whole area while the 11S Max randomly bounces around missing some spots as it does not remember where it needs to clean.

Olivia ⋅ 4 years ago #

Hi Natalie,

I’m thinking about buying my dad a Eufy vacuum for Christmas but I’m stuck on which is best to buy...
We have quite a large open plan living area which is hard wood parquet floor downstairs which is mainly where it will be used. We also have two Labs who shed hair a fair bit. I was wondering which you would recommend?
I had been looking at the 30C MAX, because of the suction power, wifi, boundary strips however looking at the comments seems the G30 is said to be better for hard floor is this the case? I know it doesn’t have the strips (which seem useful to me) so how important is this? But then the G30 seems to have mapping whereas the 30C Max does not? How important is this?
Do these model both have mopping also?
Which would you recommend out of the two? Or any others?

Thank you

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years ago #

Hi Olivia, thank you for your question. Let's see what we can do here :)

The 30C Max is a great choice especially for the price now, it's $199.99 I believe. For a big space, those that do not map might get lost and never get to some spots but go over other areas twice or three times as the robot does not know where to clean. On the other hand, it supports magnetic tapes which would be useful for you.

The G30 is a better option for a big cleaning area as it follows a back-and-forth navigation pattern instead of randomly bouncing around. It would know where to clean or where it already cleaned so there are fewer chances to miss some areas. But it does not support boundary strips, it does not have detection so you can't buy them optionally too.
You can get the G30 Edge but it does not have a Black Friday discount tho the model supports boundary strips.

If you need boundary strips more than mapping so the C30 Max is a great buy. Especially when it's as cheap as now. Run it every other day so it will go across those areas it missed last time. If you are going to use it once a week, I would suggest getting something with mapping.

The "C" series do not have mapping, the "G" and "L" series do :)

I would say that for your home, one of these three would be the best choice.

Does it help?

Curious about this Wyze, which will be available in January. Features/specs look good. Any plans to review it? https://wyze.com/wyze-robot-vacuum.html

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 1 month ago #

This Wyze looks similar to the Xiaomi Mop P but without mopping. If so, it might have a similar cleaning performance. After reviewing the Mop P it was clear that the robot is not suitable for carpets but does a good job on hard floors. So if you don't have carpets, the Wyze might be good for you.

Side note: I know nothing about the company and customer support as well as where to buy additional accessories.

DJG ⋅ 4 years, 1 month ago #

Wonderful review and guidance! Trying to decide between the 15C Max and the L70. We have a one story, 2400 SF home with all hardwoods. We are retirees so running one every other day or so is not a problem. The 15C Max is down to $175 right now, which seems like a good deal. What would you recommend?

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 1 month ago #

Hi there,
For such a big home I would recommend going with a robot that has mapping as it does not get lost in a large area. The 15C Max might work in one room twice and never get to the other room as it does not remember your home layout and simply runs around until its battery dies. It also does not have a big battery to cover a large area. But the price is good. If you are not going to run it over the whole house at once it might work for you.

The L70, on the other hand, has a large battery and is Lidar-guided which means it would know your floors and where it cleans so the robot does not get lost. It most likely would be able to cover the whole area on one charge and even if it does not, it would power up and then continue cleaning until the cleaning is complete.

Does it help?
Natalie

Hi. My mind is boggled by all of the different options.
I had two different Roombas years ago. We always have had dogs that shed a lot. With the Roombas, I spent a great deal of time cleaning the brushes. I finally decided I'd rather vacuum myself than clean the brushes.
How much work is involved in cleaning Eufy brushes?

I have wood floors, a couple of area rugs. About 1500 square feet on main floor where I would run this.
I don't care about wifi connection.
I will run the machine on different days in different rooms. Would like it if it can find its docking station when done.
I don't have an immaculate house (note: 2 large dogs with toys). There is quite a bit of furniture.
I have read and re-read all of the different options and don't know what to choose. What would you recommend?

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 2 months ago #

Hi Alice,
Considering the size of your main floor, I would recommend a model with mapping over the models with a random cleaning pattern. Robot vacuums with mapping build a map of your house, they know where they already cleaned, and find the dock much faster since they know where it is located. Eufy has three models with mapping: L70 Hybrid, G30, and G10 Hybrid.

The G10 has a small battery and would not cover the whole area on one charge.
The G30 has a bigger battery but might not be enough for such size.
I would suggest getting the L70 Hybrid as it is Lidar-guided, has a bigger battery and is the most efficient among the others which helps it to finish cleaning faster. It also has the strongest suction which definitely helps with pet hair.

If you want to run the machine in different rooms, you might get one of those G series and close the doors so it won't leave the room it has to clean as you would not be able to set room cleaning for those two. The L70 tho has such an option, so you don't have to block the rooms manually.

The randomly-bouncing models most likely would not cover the whole cleaning area unlike the ones with mapping.

As to the automatically finding the docking station when done, all robots can do this. Nowadays, it relates to all robots that come with a docking station.

Does that help?
Best,
Natalie

Hi Slavisa, the L70 has a cleaning brush with detachable side tips which makes it easy to clean off tangled long hair :) I personally love such rollers, those are essential for someone with long hair like me.

Slavisa ⋅ 4 years, 2 months ago #

Thanks for your quick reply. I would rather go with Xiaomi Mijia 1C for my first robot, but the only thing that bothers me is the non-detachable side tips. Which model is best suitable for 65sqm flat (30% carpets, 60% parquet, 10% tiles)by your opinion, low/Mid class robot? I really like c1 for all it has(small thickness so it can reach under kitchen cabinets), I'm just worried about his side tips...

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 2 months ago #

The Xiaomi MiJia 1C is a great vacuum for such size and surface. I would go for it even though it does not have detachable side tips. It would take a bit longer to get the edges clean but the robot itself totally worth it.

Maybe Roborock S5 Max is the best model for me?

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 2 months ago #

The Roborock S5 Max is an absolutely amazing product which costs like twice as much as the Xiaomi. But if you can afford that, the S5 Max would be a good buy.

Slavisa ⋅ 4 years, 2 months ago #

Thank you for your time and effort.

Debi Wood ⋅ 4 years, 2 months ago #

The G series is so tempting for sure with the mapping. The Eufy folks have offered a 40% off deal as I was having lots of rattling and WiFi issues after just over 1 year. Their price on the Edge is higher than amazon and a little more than I want to spend since I don’t really need to replace. Thanks for the quick response.

Debi Wood ⋅ 4 years, 2 months ago #

Great write up! Thank you. I am considering buying a 2nd Eufy for downstairs. I have the 30c but it’s older and rattles A LOT. I’m considering the 15c max for the extra power, although my house is all tile and noise is a big deal for me. I don’t need more magnetic strips but do you know if the 15c max will respond to the strips I already have? I guess to be safe I may just get another 30c. So many options!

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 2 months ago #

Hi Debi, the eufy 15C Max does not support boundary strips. Only those that have it in the box are compatible with the strips.
How about considering the G series? It is based on a gyroscope and is more efficient than the others.

Marcello Pomies ⋅ 4 years, 3 months ago #

This page was so informative, thank you! I live in a small one bedroom apartment with two dogs. We have a lot of furniture and one medium-low pile 5x8 area rug. I am stuck between the 15C Max and the G30. Something about the G30 gyroscope and set pattern seems appealing to me but do you think it worth the extra cost? I see a $70 difference currently.

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 3 months ago #

Hi, Marcello thank you :) For homes with lots of furniture I would recommend a robot with a purposeful cleaning pattern. In this scenario, the robot would not miss any area. Besides, if you have dogs, the randomly-moving robot might not pick up all pet hair because of the same purpose.
I would recommend going with a gyroscope-guided robot as it is more efficient and likely to finish cleaning faster.

Great summary and comparison of all eufy models. Thanks a lot.

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 4 months ago #

You are welcome. Hope this helps :)

Cathy ⋅ 4 years, 5 months ago #

Thank you!!

Cathy ⋅ 4 years, 5 months ago #

Thanks for the great comparison. I've decided I don't have to have the wifi, but ok if it does. I can't decide if I need the magnetic strips. Can you explain more on when you need those, please. Saw the 25C at Walmart for $149 so thinking about just going with it but still undecided because of strips. Cathy

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 5 months ago #

Hey Cathy, thank you :)

I would say if you have found something like the 25C this cheap, go for it. The strips are good to have but you probably will not use them as much as you think you would.
Those are good to use in areas like around your dog's bowl or where you have lots of cords, the areas where the robot can possibly get stuck.

If you feel like the 25C meets your needs, get this one at Walmart, the price is really good.

MJ ⋅ 4 years, 5 months ago #

Forgot to mention that suggestions for most suitable vacuums based on these parameters would be very welcome!

MJ ⋅ 4 years, 5 months ago #

Thanks for this very helpful table! I want to buy for older parents. They have Alexa, but Dad forgets her name and they are probably most comfortable with using a hand held remote/clicker rather than phone. They have wall to wall carpet, small house. Ideally, I would get one that will do the whole house and not miss spots so Mom doesn't have to worry. I appreciate that the smart navigation and hand held remote seem to be two opposing features. Ideally I would have both! I am less fussed about price than about getting them something easy and efficient to use. Thanks!

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 5 months ago #

Hi there, a challenging robot vacuum to find :)
I would suggest the 360 S6 Pro but it is not available on Amazon yet you can get in from Gearbest.
Another deal is the DEEBOT 711 but it is not the best with carpets especially if your parents have medium-pile ones.
As to the Eufy, have a look at the 15C Max. Yes, it moves randomly but if your parents run it every other day missing spots would not be an issue.

Does that help?

MJ ⋅ 4 years, 5 months ago #

TREMENDOUSLY HELPFUL! Thank you so much for taking the time to provide a set of really excellent options, each of which will work well - with remotes! I had not been aware of Gearbest either - interesting site. Now my only question is whether they come with US or UK adapter, but I can probably find out online. Thank you so much - this is going to be an excellent birthday present, thanks to you.

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 5 months ago #

Can't say a thing about the adapter, I believe it depends on the warehouse they ship from. Other than that glad I could help and hope these devices fit your home surface :)

Jennifer ⋅ 4 years, 6 months ago #

I have mostly hard wood floors with a couple low pile and a couple medium pile carpets. I mostly want this for the hard wood so i dont have to worry about crumbs and dust quite as often manually. I would like it for the carpets in those areas as well but they aren't the main focus. No pets, but I have long hair and my hair tends to shed a decent amount. I would like wifi capability as well. Is the 15max a good choice for me? Are all the MaX models good on hard wood as well as thicker carpets? Also have baseboard heating. Do any of the models have issues with baseboards? Like constant banging into them or getting stuck under them? Thanks so much for any help!

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 6 months ago #

Hi Jennifer, the 15C Max would be a good choice for your home. Keep in mind, it can only climb a 16 mm / 0.63 in obstacle so if your carpets are thicker it might not get onto one. This model bounces around pretty much randomly which means it does not remember where it has been and doesn't know the location of the baseboards so it might occasionally bump into them. You can't avoid it but it doesn't mean the robot will do so every other time it cleans. Does that help?

Jennifer ⋅ 4 years, 6 months ago #

It does. I’m going to try the 15c Max. Thanks so much!

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 6 months ago #

Cool, glad it helped :) Would love to hear about your experience with the robot and baseboards.

Jennifer ⋅ 4 years, 6 months ago #

So far so good! The robot doesn’t go near the baseboards like I thought it would and when it does it seems to sense it before it bangs against it. It does great on the area rugs and carpets too. So far I’m loving it! Thanks again! :)

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 6 months ago #

Glad you're loving it :)

Linda M Starnes ⋅ 4 years, 7 months ago #

Which model is best for concrete floors?

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 7 months ago #

Hi Linda. I believe, they all can work on concrete floors but might get some scratches underneath.

Camila ⋅ 4 years, 7 months ago #

Hi! I’m looking at the hybrid models.... I can’t figure out which one to go for. I only have hardwood floors or tile throughout the house and 3 non shedding dogs. I would like the mop option but not sure which one.

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 7 months ago #

Hi Camila. Eufy has two cleaners that are hybrid: the Eufy G10 Hybrid and L70 Hybrid. The G10 is not recommended for carpets. By reading customers reviews on Amazon, I assumed that this is not the best company's cleaner.
If you are not ready to spend more on the L70 Hybrid, maybe have a look at the Roborock Xiaowa E2, it is a good vacuum and is a good mop too, has better sellers rate, and overall better cleaning performance.

Mark ⋅ 5 years ago #

Why, for the love of god do they have so many overlapping options. They have the most confused product lineup I have ever seen.

E Douglas ⋅ 5 years ago #

Thank you Natalie for the help!

Seeing how we don't use the app for our smart scale, I don't think we'd be too sad to not have wifi with our robovac! Great advice.

Always happy to help :)
Feel free to ask as many questions as you have, I'll do my best to answer them.

E Douglas ⋅ 5 years ago #

Thank you for a great review - the only one that I felt the need to comment on!

I've been researching eufy for what seems like weeks and weeks now... Down to the final 5. (30C / 30 / 12 / 11s Max / 15C Max)

Still on the fence about wifi vs. not, and not sure what a large difference it is between 1500 vs. 2000 suction. I have a small cape house with hardwood and area (low pile) rugs. One large dog who sheds a lot.

The 30 is definitely in my price range, but will I regret not having the app? We're not super hi-tech, but like convenience.

Any help would be appreciated! This is becoming an obsession I'm really ready to be finished with!

Natalie Red ⋅ 5 years ago #

Hi :)

Having vs. no having WiFi depends on you. These models do not give you a lot of options to do with the app so you are not missing a lot, you can start/stop and schedule it. I rarely use the manual moving option tho. If you want to control the robot from your phone, get the Wi-Fi capable model, if you are okay with the remote control only, go with any other but a "C" model.

If you have a large dog who sheds a lot I would suggest getting a powerful (any "Max") model because it needs to be capable of picking up lots of dog hair especially on the rugs. The more powerful the better so I would keep at eye on something that has stronger suction.

The 11S Max and 15C Max are very similar models with the only WiFi capability so maybe consider getting one of these.
If you get something with 1,500 Pa it would also be a good choice but be ready to run it more often.

Hope that helped
Best,
Natalie

Thanks for the great article - super helpful! Do you know if the Max models at 2000pa suction power are any louder than the Non Max models at 1500pa? I couldn’t find anything that says they are louder - but I would think they are. I’m trying to avoid purchasing a cleaner that is loud, so that’s a concern for me. Thanks so much!!!

Natalie Red ⋅ 5 years ago #

Hi there,

The manufacturer claims it makes 55 dB of noise and it can be true. Some robots have the same suction power but different noise level so I believe the 2,000 Pa robots are not louder than those which deliver 1,500 Pa.

If you want a powerful robot vacuum it will be louder than an average robot in any case but the Eufy robots are one of the quietest models out there.

Javier ⋅ 5 years ago #

Hi, thanks a lot for the great article. One question. What's the difference between Robovac 12 and 15T?

Natalie Red ⋅ 5 years ago #

Hi, Javier, thank you :)

I actually don't know. I believe it is the same model just named differently since they have the same specifications and by how they can release many models that are very similar, I concluded I'm right about this one. I didn't find any extra-features the 12 or 15T have, maybe I wasn't really going deeply about that but I wouldn't be surprised if these two are about the same.

Javier ⋅ 5 years ago #

Thanks for the quickly repply!!!
I called customer service and they said the only difference between them is the cover: 12 is covered with tempered glass and 15T isnt... but in spects they are the same!

Natalie Red ⋅ 5 years ago #

Oh, thank you so much, now I know, the tempered glass is claimed to be anti-scratch so your robot will look good after some time of using.

Michelle ⋅ 5 years, 1 month ago #

Just wanted to say thanks for the great article. You provided detailed information to help make an informed decision - even better than the manufacturer's website. Keep up the good work!

Natalie Red ⋅ 5 years, 1 month ago #

Thanks a lot! We try to collect as much information as we can about the robots to make you do the right decision about your best one :)

Miyoko ⋅ 5 years, 2 months ago #

Hello

I just wondering are you sure that eufy robot don't have a navigation system, even the gyo ? except the white one(laser).... I have check a lot of pages, and they official website, don't really got any very useful messages. yours posting is the best, i just want to confirm with you again. Thanks a lot in advance!

Natalie Red ⋅ 5 years, 2 months ago #

Hello, Miyoko

None of the Eufy robots have mapping except for the latest L70, you are absolutely right! Have a look at the Eufy 11S review, it randomly bounces around with no visible algorithm. Gyro-based machines normally follow a back-and-forth pattern thus covering the whole area while random robots might miss some spots because they do not learn your floor layout.
Even though they do not have any mapping technology, the Eufy cleaners are still the best for the price among many budget models, so I highly recommend getting on of those if you don't want to spend more on a Laser-based model.

What about Eufy 25C? You mention it at the beginning but then no in depth comparison like you have for the others. What makes it different from 30C or 35C? Thanks!

Natalie Red ⋅ 5 years, 6 months ago #

Looks like someone (me) forgot to save the latest update.

In short: the Eufy 25C has one of the strongest suction power as well as the Eufy 30, Eufy 30C and Eufy 35C. It supports Wi-Fi, which means you can control it from your phone, but it does not have a magnetic tape in the box. The Eufy 30C and 35C have magnetic tapes in the box (13.2 ft vs. 6.6 ft). Suitable for bare and carpet flooring but will not provide deeper cleaning on medium-pile carpets. The Eufy 25C is also integrated with Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

Natalie Red ⋅ 5 years, 6 months ago #

You can also have a look at the latest Eufy RoboVac 11S MAX, it is the most powerful of all models and costs around $270.
