Difference between S6 Pure and S5 Max? Looks like exactly the same specs here!

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years ago #

There are a few significant differences between the two:

1. With the S6 Pure, you can't control water output in the app. It has two levels that you can manually switch on the tank itself. The S5 Max has three levels that are controlled in the app.
2. The S5 Max allows customizing suction power and water level for each room which you can also do during scheduling.
3. The S5 Max has a bigger water tank that is always attached and a mopping pad which in tandem works better at removing stains. The S6 Pure only has a separate water container.
4. The S5 Max has no-mop zones that allow the robot to avoid carpets in mopping mode.
5. You can schedule the S5 Max to mop in a particular room which you can't do with the S6 Pure.

Hi Natalie
We are looking to purchase the pure. I’m interested in the mopping aspect. Our house is nearly all polished concrete floors. When I currently mob & bucket each week I get a reasonable about of dirty water after completion.
You think the pure robot would do the same job?

Hi Chris, I believe the Pure robot would do the same job. I would suggest using a robot vacuum as a mop more often tho simply because it is not as effective as manual mopping.
