Unable to connect to app - nothing works, nor older versions of app, nor changing mainlands, nor trying different app. Phone is Xiaomi too by the way. Piece of junk - when stops working no idea what's wrong with it, I don't know chinese

prefer buying Xiaomi Mijia c1 cause you will really need that no zone go or virtual block wall. after you have a robot vacuum u will understand it. u will really want to have that feature, so u don't need DIY a.k.a close door as a virtual wall.. as I buy both due to this virtual block wall. cause when you schedule your vacuum to work, probably you don't want that you need to close the door manually before it starts. Xiaomi Mijai c1 probably best and cheaper compared to other high-end robot vacuums.

I'm experiencing some problems.
after firmware update (2.0.8.61.38), the mi home app isn't able to control efficiently the Xiaomi g1:
It's impossibile to push any button on the map, so it's impossibile to switch between silent, standard, medium and turbo mode but also to switch water level and to push home button and start/pause.

I's only available to start form the main menu.

Also area cleaning doesn't work form the app.
Physical Reset button doesn't work.

Other feature like change language are available.

Is anyone else experiencing these issues?

I don't have such issues (same firmware version). Do you use a Samsung phone? I heard about the same issue from other users who own a Samsung phone. Maybe it depends on the Android version, not sure.

You're perfectly righi it's a samsung issue.
Many Many thanks

G1 does have Carpet Boost and detachable side tips.

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 1 month ago #

Thanks, I did not know that :)

Rovath ⋅ 4 years, 2 months ago #

Does anyone know how to change language in English? Is that possible?

Juan ⋅ 4 years, 6 months ago #

There are certain imprecisions in the spec sheet: this vacuum does have a HEPA filter and it is washable. The no-go zones are available in the last APP update.

Thank you for the feedback. I've checked a few product descriptions in different online stores (Gearbest, Aliexpress) and was not able to find proof that it has a washable HEPA filter. Also, this robot vacuum uses gyroscope navigation and I've never seen that robot vacuums with such navigation have no-go zones. Are you sure you are talking about the Mijia G1 model? Maybe you meant the Mijia 1C (which recently received no-go zones and has a washable HEPA filter)?

Juan I just bought this vacuum and sadly I haven’t been able to pair it with the app. It continues to say to me that I do not have any devices... Do you have this one also? We’re you able to connect it to the app?

Alessandro ⋅ 4 years, 4 months ago #

I've the same issue, I still can't pair it with the app, both on iOS and Android Mi 10.
Any one who had have the same issue and solved can provide an hint? Thanks!

Did you try to choose a different region in the Mi Home app settings? Try to select the China Mainland region, we were not able to pare the 1C (which is very similar to the G1 model) until changed the region to China. Also, check this post, it's about another model, but steps should be very similar.

Thanks Natalie, you save my day!!!!
I change country settings to China and my G1 magically appear in my app!!!!
Now I have to learn how to define rooms and planning cleaning programs by rooms, unfortunately I have instruction manual in Chinese and I haven't find any online manual ATM.
BTW my app let me upgrade my firmware and now I have English language on G1 that is more clear to me :-D

Glad to help!

Rovath ⋅ 4 years, 2 months ago #

Would you please tell me which application you use in order to connect with android mobile phone and nijia g1?
Thanks in advance

Did you try the “xiaomi home” App?

Natalie Red ⋅ 4 years, 4 months ago #

If you asking I have ever tried the Mi Home app, yes I have. As to the G1 I have not tested this robot.
Whoops, didn't notice the question wasn't for me :)

Hello,
To pair this device you need to have CHINA MAINLAND on the MI HOME app.
I need to have the app installed twice on my samsung phone, one on the nomral environment and another on SECURUTY FOLDER environment and this allows me to have it installed twice.
I have asked recently when xiaomi intends to add it to europe version MI home app.
