On CES 2025, Roborock presented a robot vacuum that sees, picks up, and relocates objects, which means you don't have to tidy up the room before starting the robot. ECOVACS features its newest mopping robot, the X9 Pro. Let's talk about the 2025 leading robot vacuums.

The biggest differences
The Roborock's innovative mechanical arm is the only one on the market. It brings the whole obstacle avoidance thing to a new level.
On the other hand, the DEEBOT features its new Blast technology that optimizes suction and airflow and has the best mopping system.
Roborock Saros Z70, the King of object optimization
Key features:
- OmniGrip Mechanical Arm (handles objects up to 300g)
- Dual camera for object gripping accuracy
- Gripping manual control
- Startsigh 2.0
- AI-Powered Customization (flag an object to move)
- The new FreeFlow brush
- DirtTech technology
- Intelligent lift (adapts to messy areas, lifting the brush, side sweeper, or mopping pad)
One of the latest Saros series models features a distinct auto-empty station and ample power.
With a dual anti-tangle system and the newest brushrolls, the Saros Z70 handles hair tangling like a pro
Innovations: the OmniArm.
During its first cleaning session, the Roborock Saros Z70 marks all objects it detects to lift and clean those missed areas when circling back after the clean for the second time. The robot also relocates the objects (up to 300g) when they're blocking them from going to an uncleaned area.
The Arm is equipped with LED lights, a camera, and other sensors. With the second camera located on the robot's front, the robot sees the environment from a higher spot for better accuracy when needed to move the objects. That bunch of sensors helps the arm to determine its position, surroundings, and the weight of each object it grips.
You can control the whole gripping or relocating process in the Roborock app.
Gentle-grip design and a built-in weight sensor prevent excessive squeezing
The arm moves obstacles, lifts objects, and even organizes small household items like socks and tissues. With AI customization, users can tag up to 50 new objects, alongside 108 pre-programmed ones. The OmniArm can be controlled manually in the app.
Innovative navigation and obstacle avoidance technology
Starsight 2.0 is a next-gen 3D sensing that works with VertiBeam to recognise and avoid objects the robot senses.
The robot's body is only 3,14 in tall
Cleaning mechanics:
Roborock mopping system:
- Features two mopping pads
- Extend the pad and a side brush along the walls
- Higher mop lift
- Removes the pads on a station in a vacuum-only mode
In different situations, the robot smartly adapts to a cleaning strategy, either lifting a roller to clean spilled liquids or raising the pads on carpets.
The Roborock Saros Z70 smoothly transitions when it needs to switch between the vacuum-only to mop-only modes, lifting the roller to mop liquid spills. Unlike the DEEBOT, the Saros Z70 lifts and retracts a side brush to prevent collisions.
AdaptiLift Chassis helps it to cross up to 4 cm obstacles. The chassis automatically adapts to obstacles, lifting the front part to cross them.
Hot water mopping changes mopping completely, making the process more efficient and smooth.
SmartPlan 2.0 is a cleaning strategy that automatically adjusts cleaning settings to the dirtier areas based on a previous cleaning. The robot also suggests no-go zones where it can't go.
Pet-friendly robot
When operating, the robot detects a pet and stops; during cleanups takes pictures of your pet that you can download; allows video calling and talking to your pet in two-way voice chat.
The Roborock Saros Z70 is the most innovative robot vacuum so far
ECOVACS DEEBOT X9 PRO Omni, the best mopping robot
Key features:
- BLAST Airflow Suction
- OZMO mopping system
- Triple lift (side brush, OZMO roller, brushroll)
- Self-cleaning, hot-water washing&refilling, hot-air drying
- YIKO voice assistant support
- Advanced Dirt Detection
DEEBOT X9 Pro OMNI
A new Blast Tech that provides deep carpet cleaning
With AI, the robot intelligently detects stains and adapts its cleaning strategy based on severity:
- For light stains (e.g., milk, juice), it performs three concentrated scrubbing passes.
- For tough stains (e.g., soy sauce, coffee), it executes a thorough multi-step process: grid-pattern deep cleaning from the edges inward, automatic mop refreshing, and a follow-up grid cycle, ensuring complete stain removal while protecting floor surfaces.
OZMO mopping system:
- Consumes less water
- Includes two onboard water tanks
- Continuously keep the roller clean as the robot mops
- Extends the roller along the walls
Depending on the cleaning situation, a triple lift system lifts the mop on carpets to prevent wetting, raises the side brush for large debris, and lifts the main brush to avoid contamination from spills.
OZMO mopping system outperforms others and is currently the best on the market.
Blast Tech
A new Blast technology combines suction and airflow for deep carpet cleaning
While higher suction drains battery life, Blast optimizes both by 3x airflow and strong suction, delivering deeper cleaning and extending runtime.
More pickup efficiency, better carpet cleaning
Even tho the robot has lower suction numbers, thanks to the Blast, it has more efficiency at deep carpet cleaning.
To Sum Up
There is a tough choice on which one to buy since both robots feature new technologies. It is either the newest mopping system and suction optimization for better carpet cleaning performance, or a mechanical arm that grabs, moves, and organizes objects so you don't have to pick up things off the floor.
The Roborock Saros Z10 is the most advanced robot vacuum on the market to date. Its navigation and obstacle avoidance are the most accurate, with lots of sensors and smart features that automate the robot to do what it is supposed to do without much maintenance.
The DEEBOT X9 Pro OMNI has the best mopping system in the industry, efficient vacuuming performance, and is cheaper.
Both are top-tier robots in the lineup and are some of the best in 2025.
