Roborock Saros vs Qrevo Edge: Which Offers Better Value in 2026?

Not Sure Which Roborock to Buy?

The Qrevo Edge and Saros series target different buyers. The Qrevo Edge focuses on delivering flagship cleaning performance at a lower price, while the Saros lineup represents Roborock's most advanced robot vacuums.

For most households, the Qrevo Edge offers better value. Buyers who want the latest Roborock technology, advanced obstacle avoidance, and premium features should consider the Saros Series.

What's the difference

The two robots utilize different mopping systems and stations designed for their maintenance.

Navigation technologies: RetractSence vs. LDS

The newest Saros retracts the LDS under the furniture using the newest system; the Edge has a standard LDS.

Better obstacle avoidance: Reactive AI 3.0 vs. Reactive AI

The Saros utilizes front triple-structured light, an RGB camera, and Vertibeam technology to provide a wider obstacle avoidance view, thereby minimizing the risk of bumping into objects. The Edge doesn't have Vertibeam, making its obstacle avoidance not as advanced.

Mopping system: Vibrarise 4.0 vs Rotating Mopping Pads

The Saros uses Vibrarise, the solid mopping pad that vibrates. The robot automatically leaves the pad on the base when it's unnecessary. Additionally, it lifts the side brush and has a side mopping pad that only extends along the walls and corners for better mopping results. When the robot detects spills, it lifts the chassis to create more pressure to remove the stains.

The Edge has a two-rotating mopping pad system and doesn't leave the pads on the base.

SmartPlan 2.0 vs. SmartPlan

The Saros has more automation in using cleaning settings that were set before, cleaning the rooms that haven't been cleaned in a while, reducing suction power in the DND mode, etc. The robot learns the settings it uses to clean the house before and adapts them to the cleaning situation.

Self-cleaning base: RockDock Ultra 2.0 vs. Multi-Functional Dock 3.0

Both stations share the same functions, like self-emptying, washing the pads with warm water, drying with hot air, and cleaning the base.

The RockDock additionally charges the robot in 150 minutes (fast charging), has detergent dispensing, fills the water tank with warm water, and adapts water temperature when washing the pad after cleaning.
