Roborock Qrevo vs. Saros. What's new?
-
OMNI Grip Arm
The Arm sees, lifts, and moves the objects it recognizes on its way. Featured in the Saros Z70 only.
-
Auto Mop Removal
The Saros Series automatically leaves the mopping pads on the base in a vacuum-only mode.
-
Hot water mopping
The dock refills the onboard water tank with warm water.
Cleaning mechanics
The new Dual Anti-tangle system keeps the side brush, main roller, and omni wheel clean, making maintenance easier than ever.
FlexiArm Riser side brush: The robot extends its side sweeper and a mop to get deeper into corners. When going around the furniture, the robot lifts and retracts the side brush to prevent collisions.
AdaptiLift Chassis: The chassis helps the robot to climb up to 4cm thanks to a three-wheel control for versatile lifting. Depending on the task, the robot lifts a side sweeper, main brush, or mopping pad, or everything at once.
StarSight 2.0 & object recognition
The StarSight 2.0 is an upgraded version of the previous StarSight we've seen in the Roborock Qrevo Slim.
It is a bunch of sensors that scan the environment, creating a 3D map to minimize bumping into things. Thanks to that, the Roborock Saros is only 7.8 cm tall and can get under most furniture. With VertiBeam obstacle avoidance technology, the robot maneuvers around irregular walls and furniture and even avoids unfolded cables.
The Roborock Saros has the most advanced object recognition technology in the lineup.
Mopping
The Saros 10 uses a vibrating mopping pad for mopping, while the other two have double rotating pads.
The Saros series automatically detects when the mopping pad is unnecessary and leaves it on the base before vacuuming.
Pet-friendly robot
When operating, the robot detects a pet and stops; during cleanups takes pictures of your pet that you can download; allows video calling and talking to your pet in two-way voice chat.
Multifunctional Dock 4.0
The Multi-Functional base stands by 8-in-1 Hands-Free maintenance. It does the following things:
- Self-empty
- Auto-wash the mops with hot water
- Auto-fill the water tank with warm water (new)
- Cleans the dock base with hot water
- The detachable dock base has an upgraded design, so it stays nice and clean after every wash with hot water, and it is detachable
- Dries the mopping pads with hot air
- DirtDetect monitors the dirt levels, adjusting the wash duration, and if it detects heavy stains, the robot returns to the dock to re-wash the mops
- Fast charging & Off-peak charging
- Removes the mop when the robot is in a vacuum-only mode (new)
- Fill the water tank with detergent
All you have to do is fill the water container and start the robot.
The RockDock Ultra 2.0 (Saros 10) performs the same functions designed for the Vibrarise 4.0 mopping system.
The most innovative robot vacuum on the market
Key features:
- OmniGrip Mechanical Arm (handles objects up to 300g)
- Dual camera for object gripping accuracy
- Gripping manual control
- Startsigh 2.0 navigation
- AI-Powered Customization (flag an object to move)
- The new FreeFlow brush
- DirtTech technology
- Intelligent lift (adapts to messy areas, lifting the brush, side sweeper, or mopping pad)
One of the latest Saros series models features a distinct auto-empty station and ample power.
With a dual anti-tangle system and the newest brushrolls, the Saros Z70 handles hair tangling like a pro
Innovations: the OmniArm.
The arm is capable of handling objects up to 300g. When the robot sees one, it uses its hand to move it out of the way. A dual camera system improves object gripping accuracy.
Gentle-grip design and a built-in weight sensor prevent excessive squeezing
The arm moves obstacles, lifts objects, and even organizes small household items like socks and tissues. With AI customization, users can tag up to 50 new objects, alongside 108 pre-programmed ones. The OmniArm can be controlled manually in the app.
Innovative navigation and obstacle avoidance technology
Starsight 2.0 is a next-gen 3D sensing that works with VertiBeam to recognise and avoid objects the robot senses.
The robot's body is only 3,14 in tall
Cleaning mechanics upgrades:
- The newest Free-flow roller type and a dual anti-tangle system, the robot prevents hair tangles.
- AdaptiLift Chassis helps it to cross up to 4 cm obstacles.
- In different situations, the robot smartly adapts to a cleaning strategy, either lifting a roller to clean spilled liquids or raising the pads on carpets.
- Hot water mopping changes mopping completely, making the process more efficient and smooth.
The Roborock Saros Z70 is the most innovative robot vacuum on the market
The Roborock Saros Z70 is made for everyone.
Vibrating mopping pad and retracted LDS
This one uses a solid mopping pad and the self-cleaning station that is designed to maintain this typef of mopping system.
The Roborock Saros 10 has a Vibrarise 4.0 system. It is a solid pad that vibrates. In addition to this, the robot has a small wheel for extra edge cleaning, too. When detecting stains like coffee spills, the robot lifts its omnidirectional wheel, ensuring extra pressure with the mop.
Mopping & self-cleaning system:
- A single vibrating pad (Vibrarise).
- An extra mop that extends along the edges.
- Warm water mopping (hot water autofill).
- The station self-cleans with hot water.
The robot is a premium machine that doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the best Saros Z70.
The new navigation system | Retractable LDS under furniture
Roborock Saros Z70 vs. Saros 10
- Different mopping systems
- Starsight 2.0 vs. RectractSence navigation technology
- FreeFlow vs. DuoDivide roller system
- Lack of OmniGrip Arm
The two have different navigation and obstacle avoidance technologies. The Saros 10 retracts its LDS under the furniture, while the Saros Z70 uses 3D technology to scan the surroundings.
Since mopping is different, the stations are designed to wash either Vibrarise or double rotating pads. The Saros 10 lifts the pad to 18 mm, whereas the Saros Z70 can do so higher. Both leave the pads on the station when switching to mop-only mode.
Both robots have a dual anti-tangle system; only the Saros Z70 comes with the newest FreeFlow roller system, which the company claims to be the best at resisting hair tangles.
Only the Roborock Saros Z70 features the OmniGrip Mechanical Arm.
The biggest difference between the Saros 10 and the other two is:
- Vibrating mopping system
- Navigation and obstacle recognition technology
Two mopping pads and the newest StarSigh navigation
Compared to the previous Qrevo CurvX, the Saros 10R features:
- Auto mop removal
- Lifts and retracts a side brush
- The newest navigation & obstacle avoidance technology
- Built-in voice assistant
The Saros 10R has the same Multifunctional base as the Saros Z70 with intelligent re-wash and re-mop technology and double rotating mopping pads.
The robot has 22k Pa of power which makes the Saros series the most powerful in the industry.
Mopping & self-cleaning system:
- A double rotating mopping pad.
- Extends the side brush and pad along the walls.
- Warm water mopping (hot water autofill).
- The station self-cleans with hot water.
The robot navigates by the newest StarSigh (no LDS tower) and advanced object recognition technology.
Roborock Saros 10 vs. Saros 10R
- Different mopping system
- Navigation system (retracts the LDS tower vs. no tower at all)
- Obstacle avoidance technology
- Self-cleaning dock (made either for a single vibrating pad or two rotating pads)
Except for the two robot vacuums having about the same specs, the two feature different mopping systems and come with a self-cleaning base made specifically for that system.
Also, both use different navigation technologies and obstacle avoidance. One retracts the LDS tower under furniture, while the other one has an innovative built-in LDS.
To Sum Up
The Saros Z10 is the most advanced robot vacuum on the market to date.
If you want a vibrating mopping system, have a look at the Saros 10.
