Xiaomi released a new flagship robot vacuum cleaner, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10+ (also known as the Xiaomi Mijia Omni B101CN or Xiaomi All-in-One Robot Vacuum and Mop on Chinese market) with an automated docking base with the ability to empty the robot's dustbin and wash the mopping pads. Taking into account all the features of the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10+, it will be a competitor to the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra and Ecovacs Deebot X1 OMNI. The new robot vacuum is already available to buy on Aliexpress for $845.32.
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10+ robot vacuum uses Lidar to build a map and navigate around. It also has a front 3D sensor and can see and recognize small objects like toys, socks, shoes, cables on the robot's way so it can avoid them while cleaning.
The mopping system is equipped with two spinning mopping pads and as well as the Roborock S7, the Xiaomi robot automatically raises the mopping pads when on carpets. It can lift the mopping pads up to 7mm, so the mop lifting system is efficient mostly on low pile carpets while on a medium pile carpet it will still touch the carpet.
To detect carpets, it uses an ultrasonic sensor underneath.
When it finished cleaning, the self-cleaning base washes and dries the mopping pads, empties the robot's dustbin, and refills the water tank.
A disposable dust bag in the base holds up to 2.5 liters of dust, in an average house you would need to replace it once per month or so.
The robot should be good at cleaning all types of floors, except probably high-pile carpets. The suction motor provides 4000 Pa of suction power, enough to clean medium pile carpets from dust, debris, and pet hair. A large 5200 mAh battery lasts up to 180 min in low-suction mode.
The self-emptying base has two large water containers with clean and dirty water. It resupplies the robot with fresh water, wash the mopping pads and absorbs the dirty water into a separate container.
The robot is already available to buy on Aliexpress for $845.32 which is cheaper compared to the closest competitors Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra ($1399 on Amazon) and Ecovacs Deebot X1 OMNI ($1399.99 on Amazon).
