The New Dreame L10s Ultra Is As Powerful As the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra but is more affordable

Dreame keeps surprising us with new powerful robot vacuums that are as good as high-end competitors from other brands but have a lower price tag. This time Dreame is releasing a new flag-ship robot vacuum - the Dreame L10s Ultra. The new robot vacuum is already available on Amazon for $1399.

The Dreame L10s Ultra is supposed to be a competitor to the more expensive Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra and Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni. The Dreame L10s Ultra comes with an automatic "Almighty" base station which automates the robot's maintenance routine. The base not only empties the robot's dustbin but also refills the water tank, washes the mopping pads during and after cleaning, and dries them when finished.

The Dreame L10s Ultra is very similar to the Xiaomi All-in-One robot vacuum we have talked about recently. Basically, the Xiaomi robot is just a white-labeled product made by Dreame (Xiaomi doesn't make robot vacuums on its own, all its robots are made in partnership with other companies such as Roborock, Dreame, Viomi, etc.).

New mopping system with auto-lifting mopping pads

The Dreame L10s has two spinning mopping pads underneath, it's a very similar mopping system to these we have seen in the Dreame W10 and Narwal T10.

As well as the Roborock S7 and S7 MaxV, the new Dreame L10s lifts the mopping pads when on carpets. It's a very nice feature to have, but worth mentioning that it works great only on thin carpets as the mop lifts to 8 mm only.

On a medium pile carpet, the mopping pads will still touch the carpet when moving over.

Improved obstacle avoidance

An obstacle avoidance 3D sensor on the front bumper helps to avoid objects like toys, pet bowls, cables, socks, and other small things that usually lie on the floor. Dreame claims it was trained to recognize and avoid 30 types of different objects.

Almighty "Ultra" base

The base empties the robot's dustbin after every cleaning cycle. It holds up to 3L of dust in a disposable dust bag.

There are also two 2.5L water containers in the base, one for clean and one for dirty water. The robot returns to the base a few times during the cleaning cycle and washes its mopping pads so it keeps the mopping pads clean during cleaning.

When the mopping is finished, it will dry the pads with hot air. It takes a bit more than 2 hours to make them completely dry so they will not smell bad after usage. There is also a silver ion water sterilization system in the base which is supposed to kill some types of bacteria in the water.

Vacuuming power

The Dreame L10s delivers up to 5300 Pa of suction power so it should be good at cleaning carpets. Even the less powerful Dreame Z10 Pro showed pretty good results in our tests on carpets.

New Dreamehome app

Dreame comes up with a new Dreamehome app recently. It is supposed to be a replacement or alternative to the Mi Home app owned by Xiaomi. Only the new Dreame models will be supported as far as I know. The app has a lot of nice features such as a 3D map with the ability to place furniture on the map. There is also a remote viewer so you can watch your house remotely through the built-in front camera. You can even say something via your phone so your family members will hear your message from the robot's speaker. There are also all the features we used to see in Lidar-guided robot vacuums: selective room cleaning, no-go & no-mop zones, zoned cleaning, scheduling, changing suction & mopping modes.

Conclusion

Taking in mind all the features the Dreame L10s Ultra has, it's a great, more affordable alternative to the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra and Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni. I would definitely choose the Dreame S10 instead of the Xiaomi-labeled identical model. It's already availalb to buy on Amazon for $1399.
