Dreame D10 Plus vs. D9: What Has Been Improved In The New D10 Plus?

Dreame is launching a new robot vacuum cleaner in June. The new Dreame D10 Plus looks very similar to the Dreame D9 model, but unlike its older brother, it supports a self-emptying base and has a few other minor improvements. The D10 Plus is cheaper than the flagship Dreame Z10 Pro and W10. You can get it for as low as $399.99, which is a good deal for a Lidar-based robot vacuum with a self-emptying base.

Compared to the D9, the Dreame D10 Plus has a higher suction power of 4000 Pa vs. 3000 Pa. Unlike the more expensive Z10 Pro, it lacks the front 3D sensor, so it's not as good as the Z10 Pro at avoiding low-profile objects like socks, cables, toys, etc.

The D10 Plus self-emptying base uses a 2.5L disposable dust bag to hold the dirt extracted from the robot's dustbin. It should be enough to hold dust for up to 45 days in an average house. The D10 Plus base is slightly shorter than the Z10 Pro base and probably equipped with a bit weaker suction motor as its rated power is 600W vs. 800W of the Z10 Pro base.

The mopping attachment with a 150 ml water tank looks very similar to the Z10 Pro model. As well as the D9 and Z10 Pro, the D10 Plus has an electric water pump inside the water tank so you can adjust the water flow in the app. However, it's much smaller compared to the 270 ml water tank of the D9.

All other features, including the app features, are almost identical. So if you want an affordable robot vacuum with a self-emptying base, the Dreame D10 Plus is a great choice. For a bit higher price, you can get the Z10 Pro which also avoids socks, cables, toys, and other things so you will spend less time preparing floors and picking up all these things before starting the cleaning.
