Ecovacs Robotics is a Chinese home robotics manufacturer with more than 20 years of experience in producing intelligent robot vacuum cleaners. Most of their products are highly rated on Amazon, they have budget models which you can buy for under $200 and a few flagship models that compete with other high-end devices from iRobot, Roborock, Neato, and others. If you decided to buy an Ecovacs Deebot but are not sure which one is better for your needs, check out this comparison with the main differences between the Ecovacs Deebot model line.
Let's break the lineup into three categories: T-series, N-series, and premium X series.
Mopping
All models have a mopping option so they can do both at the same time.
What is OZMO?
OZMO technology allows controlling water level output. It's a basic water tank that does not vibrate or rotate.
What is the OZMO Pro 2.0?
OZMO Pro 2.0 is a 240 ml water tank that vibrates. The embedded electronic mophead vibrates up to 480 times/minute to provide an extra deep clean.
What is OZMO Pro 3.0?
OZMO Pro 3.0 ensures a full reciprocating vibration with a maximum frequency of 600 times/min. Counter-rotating cloth plates spin at 180 RPM to remove every last bit of dirt from the floor.
What is OZMO Turbo 2.0?
It is a system with two rotating mopping pads. The pads rotate up to 180 times per minute, making the system more effective and efficient in scrubbing hard dirt and stains off the floor.
Mapping technology: Lidar
All robots use LDS to build a map for efficient navigation. In addition, the latest robots have sensors for small object recognition.
Battery life
A small battery means the robot might not cover a whole house on one charge if the house is big. A Lidar-guided robot cleans approximately 1sq m/10 sqft in 1 minute. Since the robots with random navigation randomly bounce around it's hard to measure how long it takes to cover the same area.
Is the DEEBOT suitable for big houses?
Yes, the models with a bigger battery that runs for up to 150+ minutes are good for big homes.
Carpet identification
It is a sensor that detects carpets and automatically boosts power when the robot steps on one. This feature helps to save battery life in big houses with a mixed surface so you don't have to change the power settings or run the robot on the highest suction all the time. The newest models use this technology to lift a mopping pad on carpet.
Dustbin size. How often to clean the filter?
The dustbin size doesn't matter when the robot has a self-emptying base since it empties the bin automatically. The filter should be changed in approximately 6-12 months depending on usage.
Smart Features: virtual boundaries, zone cleaning, prioritize areas
With all models, you can set no-go or no-mop zones, room or zone cleaning, schedule the robot, and do other things.

The N series lacks premium features the T and X series have. It's an affordable lineup for those who don't need upgraded mopping experience since even the best N30 Pro OMNI does not have all the features the other series do.
The DEEBOT N8 Pro+ and DEEBOT N10 Plus are affordable robots with a self-emptying feature and basic mopping technology. Not suitable for homes covered with carpets. A good device for hard floors and some thin carpets.
ECOVACS DEEBOT N20 Pro Plus
ECOVACS DEEBOT N20 Pro Plus
A budget version of the top-level models
The robot does not have object recognition or advanced mopping technology. However, it is powerful, has a big disposable bag, and an affordable price tag for those who don't need mopping that much.
ECOVACS DEEBOT N20 Pro Plus vs ECOVACS DEEBOT N20 Plus
The Pro Plus version has a vibrating mopping tank while the Plus model has a basic mopping option that does not vibrate.
ECOVACS DEEBOT N30 Pro OMNI
Unlike the previous models that only have a self-emptying feature, the N30 Pro OMNI includes two water containers for washing the pads.
ECOVACS DEEBOT N30 Pro OMNI
A budget version of the top-level models
The Robot extends the mop along the walls and edges. An auto-wash base washes and dries the pads, empties the bin, has a floor cleaner dispenser but does not fill the water tank.
ECOVACS DEEBOT N30 Pro OMNI vs ECOVACS DEEBOT N30 OMNI
The only difference between the two is the water washing temperature. The Pro OMNI uses hot water to wash the pads; the OMNI does it with cold water.

The X series is a premium the most-featured lineup.
Ecovacs Deebot X1 Plus
Ecovacs Deebot X1 Plus
Premium robot vacuum with a self-emptying base
The X1 Plus is the cheapest in the X series. It does not have water containers in the base to wash and dry the pads but it comes with a disposable bag that holds debris for up to 2 months. It has all the bells and whistles of the premium machine, the X1 OMNI yet does not wash the mopping pad. The mopping plate vibrates, unlike the other X1 modifications that have two rotating pads.
ECOVACS DEEBOT X1 Plus vs. X1 Turbo
- The X1 Plus mopping plate vibrates; the Turbo has two rotating pads.
- The X1 Plus has a disposable bag to collect debris while the X1 Turbo does not have such a feature, instead, it has two water large containers to fill the water tank, wash and dry the mopping pads.
Ecovacs Deebot X1 Turbo
Ecovacs Deebot X1 Turbo
Washes and dried the mopping pads
The X1 Turbo lacks a self-emptying feature yet comes with two water containers to wash and dry the mopping pads. More suitable for homes with hard floors mostly.
Ecovacs Deebot X1 OMNI
Ecovacs Deebot X1 OMNI
Is able to recognize small objects
The DEEBOT X1 OMNI is the first robot vacuum in the industry that has it all in one machine. It is guided by Lidar and has the newest object recognition technology with a stereo camera for better performance.
The base contains two large containers that supply clean water to the pads to wash them and fill the water tank inside the robot. When the robot finishes cleaning, the pads are getting washed and the dustbin's content being sucked up right into the base. None robot vacuum in the market has this many features in one device.
The mopping pads are getting dried with hot air so they are ready to be used the next time.
ECOVACS DEEBOT X1 OMNI vs. DEEBOT X1 Turbo. The difference:
- The TURBO lacks silver ion sterilization.
- The X1 Turbo does not have a self-emptying function, it only comes with two water containers.
- It dries the washing pads with cold air when the X1 OMNI uses hot air.
The newest ECOVACS DEEBOT X2 OMNI
It has three modifications: Deebot X2 OMNI, Deebot X2 Combo, and Deebot X2 Combo Complete which is technically the same Combo with additional cleaning tools.
This model has upgraded navigation and avoidance technology so is better at figuring out your home compared to the previous X1 OMNI.
It has more power and a bigger battery which makes it perfect for big houses covered with carpets. The newest dual-laser LIDAR navigation technology detects objects up to 10 meters away at a 210-degree angle so the robot doesn't get stuck around furniture.
Deebot X2 Combo
The Combo modification has more power and comes with a handheld vacuum that includes extra cleaning tools.
The main difference between it and the X2 OMNI is a two-way self-emptying system that sucks out the robot's dustbin content and the handheld dust cup dirt. The robot vacuum and handheld share one 3L disposable bag.
Deebot X5 OMNI
The DEEBOT X5 OMNI is the most powerful and rich-featured robot vacuum in the whole ECOVACS lineup.
The robot's newest navigation system makes cleaning more accurate identifying small objects and avoiding them. The upgraded Zero Tangle roller fits the pet owners and basically everyone since marinating the roller might be annoying. The base does it all, additionally washing the tray so you don't have to worry about cleaning it for up to 150 days.
TruEdge Adaptive Edge Mopping
The robot extends the mopping pad when cleaning along the walls and edges.
With the AINA 2.0 intelligent navigation, the Deebot X5 OMNI is the smartest and most accurate robot in the lineup.
