Pros & Cons of Rollibot BL618

Doesn't Have Mapping / Path Planning Feature

The Rollibot BL618 doesn't have a path planning feature. It comes with a random pattern that takes a little bit longer to clean compared to devices with a "mapping" feature. However, it still good for small or medium homes.

Not Too Strong Suction Power

The suction power of the Rollibot BL618 is not too strong (600Pa) but is still enough to clean thin carpets/rugs and bare floors. Perfect for mostly bare flooring or mixed surfaces.

No Smartphone App / Wi-Fi Support

The cleaner does not support Wi-Fi and doesn't have a smartphone app.

Amazon Alexa Not Supported

The model is not compatible with any voice assistant such as Amazon Alexa or Google Home and cannot be controlled by voice.

Bigger Dustbin Capacity

It equipped with bigger 500 ml dustbin, which means the robot can clean without needing to be emptied.

HEPA filtration

The Rollibot BL618 vacuum has a high-efficiency filtration system that is anti-allergen and removes up to 99.97% of particles with a size of 0.3 µm.

Has a wet mopping feature

Suitable for a hard floor, making it dry with the wet mopping feature.

Noise Level

The device is noisier (compared to other robot vacuums) when operating, even though it is still not as loud as an upright vacuum.

Battery Capacity

The robot is equipped with a small 2400 mAh battery that doesn’t last as long as an average robot vacuum, but it still can run longer even if the robot doesn’t have very strong suction power.

Can be scheduled for specific time

The scheduling function allows programming of the device to clean at a convenient time.

No virtual walls

A virtual wall allows you to block the robot from going to a specific area you don't want it to go. This model does not have a virtual wall feature.

Better corner cleaning

A side brush sweeps all the dust and dirt from corners and edges and transfers it to the dustbin.

Bought in October. Stopped working in May. A-Side wheel stopped functioning. Contacting support left message took 24 hours for return call, then they directed me to their website return form. To conform to warranty rules, you have to have all packaging and parts and pay the return shipping about $30 (not refunded). Replacement parts are not available anywhere to purchase. Nice design and operation, but for $200 I expect to be able to get parts or local service. Sorry, I won't be buying another one of these and I am very disappointed that it only worked for 7 months.

Follow up on my earlier review. Support eventually sent me replacement wheel. When I realized I requested the wrong wheel according to the error message (same problem persisted) which indicated it was the opposite side of what I had replaced, they were kind enough to send the other wheel without charge. They initially sent a brush part by mistake, but eventually I got the second wheel also. The error message says «wheel overload» and the bot spins in a circle counterclockwise. After having replaced both wheels, apparently «wheel overload» is not fixed by replacing both wheel assemblies. I really liked the features of this model, but if I can't get it running again, I don't think I'll need another one. These machines are complex, perhaps approaching that of a Tesla sedan. Not sure if spending $1200 on a Makita model would be any better. Guess I'll have to push the electric broom a while longer.
