- Which one is the best?
Dreame has been producing robot vacuums as well as cordless vacuums since 2015. I have tested three robots in the lineup and must say they left me very impressed. Good quality, better than average cleaning performance on par with advanced navigation. Let’s have a look at the models that have already been released on par with those that are not widely available yet.
Before looking at the lineup, let's see what is the most significant difference between them all and what you are looking for in the first place.
The budget option is the Dreame F9 but it's getting really hard to find one. It is the only model in the lineup that is guided by a built-in camera.
One of the best values on the market is the Dreame D9. If you don't need object avoidance technology nor a self-emptying system, the D9 is a great choice.
The Dreame D9 Max and D9 Pro are advanced modifications of the D9 with more power, extra accessories, and have a different color scheme.
The Dreame L10 Pro is one of the budget options on the market that has object avoidance yet it does not support a self-emptying base which may be significant for someone.
Next, the Dreame Z10 Pro that is a top-notch model. It supports a self-emptying system, has strong suction and a 3D sensor that recognizes small objects. For people having to deal with lots of dust or pet hair, a robot that empties itself is essential yet you have to be ready to spend more on it.
Last, the Dreame W10 is a mopping robot with a vacuuming ability which is not the same as the previous robots that are firstly a vacuum and only then a mop.

Which Dreame robot vacuum are you looking for? Camera or Lidar-guided navigation?
First of all, the Dreame robots all have mapping ability and navigate in straight lines methodically covering the whole cleaning area. All of them are Lidar-guided except for the F9 that has a built-in camera, and some additions like a 3D sensor in the L10 Pro and Z10 Pro.
The Dreame F9 is guided by a gyroscope and a camera. It is not as efficient as Lidar, yet the coverage is close to 100%.
The D9, L10 Pro and Z10 Pro have a Lidar that scans the surroundings, and the last two are equipped with an extra sensor that sees small objects, the Lidar can not sense.
The W10 Pro is firstly a mopping robot and only then a vacuum.
The most significant difference between them all is navigation. Yes, the map built by the F9 is not as accurate but coverage is still pretty good.
The Lidar-guided robots are more gentle with objects making navigation smoother. Yet, the D9 and W10 Pro do not see small objects on the floor and push them around instead of avoiding what the L10 Pro and Z10 Pro do.
Object recognition technology is useful in homes with pet bowls which I've noticed being pushed by Lidar robots if they do not have one. The same with shoes and slippers, a robot like the L10 Pro and Z10 Pro would go around the shoes when others might drag them around the room.
Connectivity
Each Dreame can be controlled via the app connected through WiFi. None of them come with a remote control tho.
App features
The robots have all the features you would like to see in a modern smart robot. Like No-go zones, zoned cleaning, and room cleaning that are common for all models. There is also scheduling, cleaning sequence, maintenance information, and other options.
Zoned cleaning and room cleaning are basically area cleaning. You can either send the robot to clean a particular room or a zone.
No-go zones keep the robot off certain areas like pet bowls or cluttered areas.
Water level and suction power can be switched in the app too.
The later models support saving more than one map and allow setting no-mop zones. No-mop zones are active only with mopping attachment on and made for avoiding carpets when the robot mops the floors when no-go zones keep the robot off particular areas altogether.
Also, scheduling might have additional features in the latest models.
How good is mopping
The Dreame robots include a water tank in the box and can not only do vacuuming but also mopping. All of them have an electric water tank that has a pump so you can control a water flow level in the app.
The F9, D9, L10 Pro, and Z10 Pro have a very similar mopping system so as a mop these four do equally the same job. If you are looking for a robot that would be a mop in the first place, better have a look at the Dreame W10 Pro. The difference between the four is the water tank size. The Z10 Pro has the smallest water tank which means the coverage would be smaller too. If the hard floor area is big, you'd need to refill the tank with water in the middle of the cleaning.
For homes with half carpet half-hard floor, one of these four is a better option.
The Dreame W10 model has a self-cleaning mopping station similar to the one Narwal has. For homes with mostly hard floors or no carpets at all, and if you are looking for a mopping robot that would also pick up debris, the Dreame W10 Pro is a product you need. However, the price is higher even than the Z10 Pro.
Dreame D9
The Dreame D9 is one of the most budget yet powerful and smart robots on the market. It shows great cleaning results both on carpet and hard floor, has a big battery and saves more than one map which makes it suitable for multi-level houses.
Navigation is advanced yet it doesn't see small objects the way its siblings do. Suitable for big homes with hard floors as well as carpets.

Dreame D9 vs. D9 Pro vs. D9 Max
The Dreame D9 Pro and Max are advanced modifications of the D9. Stronger suction, an advanced brushroll, and a different accessory kit are the main differences between the three. The D9 Max and D9 Pro have an anti-entanglement floating roller. Those two also deliver 4,000 Pa when the D9 has 3,000 Pa. Also the Dreame D9 and D9 Pro have 6 cliff sensors, the D9 Max - 4. In short:
The Dreame D9 has 6 cliff sensors, and an old-style roller and is not as powerful compared to the D9 Max and Pro.
The Dreame D9 Pro has more power, an advanced roller, 6 cliff sensors, and includes a water-proof mat.
The Dreame D9 Max is a simpler version of the D9 Pro with fewer cliff sensors (4) and does not include a water-proof mat.
Dreame Z10 Pro
Dreame Z10 Pro
The one with a self-emptying base
The Z10 Pro is similar to the L10 Pro but has a slightly different color option and supports a self-emptying bin. Tho it has a small water tank so I would not recommend the robot for those who want to use mopping on large hard floor areas.
However, in our testings, the robot did a great job at cleaning carpets and the self-emptying base is one of the best I happened to test. This is a great alternative to some self-emptying robots on the market with a smaller price tag.

Dreame W10
The Dreame W10 is the first mopping robot with a self-cleaning base in the lineup. It reminds me of the Narwal by having a big base and two containers for clean and dirty water. The W10 is firstly a mopping robot capable of vacuuming if needed.
It has Lidar but does not see smaller objects. Suitable for homes with mostly hard floors or those who want a mopping robot in the first place.
Unlike the Narwal T10, the Dreame W10 has a cleaning brushrholl and can do both things at the same time.
Dreame W10 vs. W10 Pro
The only difference between the two is the Dreame W10 Pro has a front camera for recognizing small objects a Lidar can not see.
Dreame D10 Plus
Dreame D10 Plus
Mopping robot vacuum
The Dreame D10 Plus is a cheaper modification of the Z10 Pro. It is navigated by Lidar and has strong suction yet lacks a front sensor for object recognition and includes a smaller disposable bag. Not suitable for those who want a mopping robot that also vacuums as it has a small water tank that can not cover a big hard floor area. The robot is better be used in homes with a mostly carpeted surface and some hard floor area. This is a great value if you don't need extras like object recognition but still want a robot vacuum that empties itself.
Dreame Z10 Pro vs. D10 Plus
The Dreame D10 Plus is a more affordable version of the Z10 Pro with no object recognition and a smaller disposable bag yet still a great robot vacuum to get if you are looking for a self-cleaning robot cleaner.
Dreame L Series
It includes three models, the Dreame L10 Pro, Dreame L10s Pro, and Dreame L10s Ultra. The L10 Pro is more or less a standard model with LDS and object recognition. It has a standard mopping system with a solid mop cloth and a relatively big water tank.
The Dreame L10s Pro is not widely available yet. Its mopping system is two rotating mopping pads, a smaller dustbin, and water tanks, yet it lifts the mopping pad when detects carpet and has stronger suction.
The Dreame L10s Ultra is the most-featured robot vacuum in the lineup that has it all, a self-emptying station, it washes the pads, and raises the pads when detects carpet.
Specifically, there are not many differences between the three. LDS sensor paired with 3D makes navigation advanced, and water tanks and dustbins are about the same size for all, the newer models use an advanced mopping system tho.
Dreame L10 Pro
Object recognition technology
Compared to the D9, the L10 Pro has stronger suction and a 3D sensor to recognize small objects. It also shows better results when cleaning carpets. On hard floor, things don't make a big difference tho. As a mop, it is equally the same as the D9 since they both have the same mopping system.
The object avoidance technology makes navigation more precise and on carpet, the L10 Pro does better than its older brothers.

Dreame D9 vs. L10 Pro
- Stronger suction
- A 3D sensor that recognizes objects
Dreame L10s Ultra
Dreame L10s Ultra
Mopping robot vacuum
The Dreame L10s Ultra is the most-featured robot vacuum with a self-emptying option as well as two water containers, for clean and wasted water that refill an onboard water tank and wash the mopping pads. So basically all you need to do is to fill the clean water tank with water and empty the dirty water container when it's full. The robot has a sensor that recognizes small objects and lots of suction power. The robot vacuum is not available to buy yet.
Dreame S10 vs. L10s Ultra
The two are identical with the only difference, the L10s Ultra is made for an international market while the S10 - for local.
Which one is the best?
The choice can be made based on a few things like budget, and your personal needs. I have to say that all of them do the job of picking up debris on hard floors and carpets. However, if you want a vacuuming performance, better have a look at the D9, Z10 Pro, and L10 Pro. But if you are looking for a mopping robot that does the mopping job well, consider getting the W10.
For $300 you get a great robot vacuum, the D9 that doesn’t have a 3D sensor yet is capable of carpet and hard floor cleaning and overall a great choice for those who don’t need newer technologies. The same goes for the D9 Max and D9 Pro.
The Dreame L10 Pro is a king if you want advanced navigation and don’t need a self-emptying base. However, it also has a bigger water tank compared to the Z10 Pro which might be a pro for homes with bigger hard floor areas.
The Dreame Z10 Pro is an option if you don’t need mopping as much but need a self-emptying base. A great buy for pet owners.
The Dreame W10 is a great robot vacuum that is firstly a mop and only then a vacuum and is ideal for homes with hard floors and some carpets. Not suitable for homes with mostly carpeted surfaces.
Those who are looking for a self-emptying robot but don't want to pay more for extra features have a look at the Dreame D10 Plus. A great robot vacuum for homes with a carpeted surface mostly or those who don't need a mopping function that much since the robot's mopping is not suitable for big hard floor areas.
