Why you should consider buying a smart robot vacuum?

As an owner of big-sized house you probably need a cleaner that would be able to cover the whole area. Smart devices remember your interior

What makes a robot vacuum cleaner smart?

There are a few types of machines on the market: these that comes with mapping and the ones that doesn't have this feature. A map could be created by two types of sensors: laser and camera. The laser is more accurate and helps the device to work in the dark. Processors that located inside the machine build the most efficient way of cleaning on its own after the map has been created. Mapping bassically means the robot remembers your home layout and will never miss a spot when cleaning.

What to look at before buying a smart robot vacuum?

  • Runtime. It is important to know for how long the robot will last. The longer it can work in one charge the more the machine covers before it needs to recharge. Please note that most of robots that comes with mapping resumes the cleaning process after recharging their battery.
  • Mapping technology. As we mentioned before the laser is more accurate when it comes to learning your home layout.
  • App. Maybe it is not that big deal for someone but when the app is a mess the whole mapping thing is not important because you are not even able to enjoy the features your robot is equipped with.
  • Pet hair performance. If you have a dog or a cat most likely you need a machine that would be able to clean your home from its hair. The first thing to look at is the robot's suction power. The stronger robot sucks the better it will clean your floors. The second thing - its cleaning brush. Bristled brush works great on carpetted surface but becomes a pain when you need to untangle hair that get wrapped around it. There are bristless brushes that supposted to work on a bare floor. These are tangle-free meaning that you don't need to get rid of hair after cleaning. Please note that bristled brushes work better on carpets when silicone or rubber (bristless) ones are designed to clean bare floors.
  • Smart voice assystent integration. In case you want your robovac to be a part of your home ecosystem you need to check compatibility with Amazon Alexa/Google Home. Most of cleaners that support Wi-Fi can be controled by voice.
