Tesvor has been producing robot vacuum cleaners since 2014 and is making decent machines.
The Tesvor X500 has lots of good reviews on Amazon and one of the newest Tesvor S6 is equipped with an LDS laser that creates a precise map & has advanced navigation.
Let’s talk about each model more and see what is the difference between the five models.

Navigation & Mapping technology
The Tesvor models follow a purposeful cleaning pattern. They move back-and-forth methodically covering the cleaning area room-by-room.
This helps the vacuums to be more efficient and to not go over the same spot twice.
The Tesvor S6 is guided by Lidar which creates an accurate map and allows interracting with it.
Suction power
Strong suction does not always mean great performance on carpets. The Tesvor robots have strong suction but they are not capable of cleaning medium-pile carpets.
The more Pascals a Tesvor delivers, the more debris it is able to pick up and to provide deeper cleaning on low-pile carpets.
Is Tesvor suitable for big homes?
The Tesvor S6, M1, and T8 have the biggest and longest-lasting battery and are more suitable for bigger homes than the X500 and X500 Pro.
The manufacturer claims each of them can cover up to 1,600 sqft / 148 sq.m. which does not make sense as they have different battery sizes.
For bigger homes, I would recommend getting either the Tesvor S6 or T8 as they have more advanced navigation and accurate mapping.
Mopping Feature
Most models except for the X500 Pro does not include a water tank in the box. It can be bought separately with the other mopping attachments (mopping cloths).
The water tank is 350 ml and is electronic. That means you can adjust water level output depending on mopping tasks. This is one of the biggest water tanks on the market. The size is big enough to cover a large area of hard floor.
Virtual walls
There are a few types of virtual walls or restricted areas: digital and magnetic tapes. The magnetic tape is a strip that can be put where you don’t want the robot to go. The models that support one have a sensor which recognizes the tape and the robot does not cross it.
Most Tesvor models support a magnetic tape but they do not come with one in the box. You have to buy one separately.
The Tesvor S6 is the only model that supports digital virtual walls. You can set no-go zones in the app if needed. The virtual walls are convenient to use and are not limited by the length (like the magnetic tape).
Real-time mapping
All Tesvor robots can be tracked in real-time via the app. You can see where the robot has been. Only the S6 saves a map after cleaning, the others build a new one every time they clean.
Medium-pile carpets a no-no
Even though most of the Tesvor robots have strong suction, they are not suitable for medium-pile carpets. The robot does not have an ability to climb on anything taller than 15 mm which causes poor performance on medium-pile carpets.
However, the Tesvor robots are ideal for low-pile carpets and solid floors.
The Tesvor X500 is the oldest and cheapest model. It has mapping which makes it more efficient than randomly-moving robots but it does not allow interacting with the map.
The robot supports magnetic tapes but these are not included in the box as well as the water tank. You can buy them optionally.
With 100 minutes of battery life, the X500 is good for small places with some thin carpets and mostly hard floors.
The robot is aging and might be hard to find but if you can catch it with a good price tag, don’t have carpets, and live in a small place, the Texvor X500 would be a good buy.
The Tesvor X500 Pro is an upgraded version of the X500. It has a different color scheme and stronger suction.
This is the only model that includes a water tank in the package but it also does not come with magnetic tape.
The X500 Pro has a short body that can get under most furniture.
Since it has stronger suction, the S500 Pro does a better job on thin carpets and picks up more debris on hard floors compared to the X500.
Tesvor X500 vs. X500 Pro
- The X500 Pro has stronger suction
- It comes with a water tank in the package
The Tesvor M1 has the strongest suction (claimed by the manufacturer) and the biggest battery.
The water tank can also be bought separately if needed.
Even tho the robot has strong suction, it is not suitable for medium-pile carpets. Because of a big battery tho, the M1 can be used in bigger homes.
Also, it has a short body and can get under most furniture.
The robot is good for average to bigger places with hard floors, pets, and thin carpets. If you are looking for a robot with a short body and do not need extra features, have a look at the Tesvor M1.
Tesvor X500 Pro vs. M1
- The M1 has stronger suction
- It also does not include a water tank in the box
- The M1 has a big battery and lasts longer
- The X500 Pro supports magnetic tapes
- Also, the X500 Pro has a shorter body
- Because of having stronger suction, the M1 is also louder
- The M1 is heavier
The Tesvor S6 is the most-featured robot vacuum in the lineup that is guided by Lidar.
The S6 can do vacuuming and mopping. Keep in mind tho that the water tank is not included in the box.
The tank is electronic which means you can set water level output depending on mopping tasks.
The Tesvor S6 has the LDS sensor that scans the surroundings to create a map of the cleaning area. Unlike the other models, the Lidar-guided robots allow interacting with the map by setting virtual no-go zones, etc.
You can customize a zone by drawing it on the map and order the robot to work within it.
If you have Alexa or Google Home, you can control the robot by voice commands.
The S6 is the only model in the family that automatically increases suction on carpets.
It also resumes cleaning if it didn’t finish the cycle on one charge. When the battery runs out of energy, the robot returns to the dock to recharge. Once it’s powered up, it continues cleaning from the spot the same place it left off.
Tesvor S6 vs. M1
- The S6 is guided by Lidar and as a result, builds an accurate map
- It also allows interacting with the map by setting virtual walls and customizing cleaning
- The M1 has a shorter body because of not having Lidar
- It also has a bigger battery & stronger suction
- The M1 does not support any virtual walls while the S6 has digital restricted areas
- The S6 is quieter and lighter
Tesvor T8
The only model with a visual sensor
Compared to the X500, X500 Pro, and M1 that are guided by a gyroscope, the Tesvor T8 is also equipped with a front camera that helps to build a more precise map. The map is not as accurate as the one made by Lidar but is better than gyroscope-made ones.
The robot can climb an obstacle up to 20 mm and has a short body.
It supports magnetic tapes that are not included in the box and can do mopping. The water tank also can be bought optionally.
The Tesvor T8 is a good option for those who want advanced navigation but at the same time do not need digital features such as virtual walls, zoned cleaning, and other ways to interact with the map. Also, keep in mid that the robot has a short body that can get under most furniture which might be a problem with the S6 that has a tower on top and as a result is taller.
