StarSight Autonomous System
A revolutionary new navigation system that knows many objects to avoid; a solid Lidar that scans the surroundings in 3D. Thanks to that, the robot has a shorter body.
The difference:
Brushroll system. The Qrevo Slim has a dual roller system, as seen in the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. The Saros 10R has a DuoDivide that makes its best to resist hair tangling. The DuoDivide is the newest and most efficient brushroll system made for pet owners.
AdaptLift Chassis technology lifts the robot higher, which increases its climbing ability up to 1.4 in. The Slim doesn't have it.
Suction. The Saros has more power than the Qrevo Slim.
Body height. The Saros has a shorter body.
Obstacle avoidance. The Saros has advanced technology and is better at recognizing and avoiding objects.
Flexi arm and mop. Both cleaners extend the side brush and a mop along the walls and corners, but unlike Slim, the Saros additionally lifts the side brush and adapts it to the cleaning situation.
Roborock Saros 10R
The Saros 10R has the same Multifunctional base as the Saros Z70 with intelligent re-wash and re-mop technology and double rotating mopping pads.
Unlike Slim, the Saros has better obstacle avoidance, the newest brushroll system that resists tangles, adaptive lifting so the robot climbs a higher obstacle, adapts into cleaning environment automatically, and has the most advanced self-cleaning station.
The Saros automatically lifts its side sweeper, roller brush, and mopping pad depending on the cleaning situation; it adapts cleaning settings relying on how often the household has been cleaned.
The station uses warm water to refill the tank, wash the mops, and clean the base which makes the robot a better option as a mopping robot than the previous models.
The Saros is a rich-featured robot that does the job as a vacuum and a mop at the same time. Intelligent enough to do the chores on its own.
The robot has 22k Pa of power which makes the Saros series the most powerful in the industry.
Roborock Qrevo Slim
Has StarSight which is the newest mapping technology thanks to which the robot goes under most furniture. Knows the biggest amount of small objects to avoid. It uses the same Dual rollers and lacks the AdaptLift Chassis so it can't go under anything higher than 20 mm.
The Qrevo Slim is a great device but it lacks some important features since it has a previous-gen base that doesn't fill the water tank with warm water or wash the base with it. It doesn't have detergent refill.
The Slim is a short robot that gets under most furniture, is a good robot mop if you need mopping, and a great value for a home with a mixed surface.
Which one to get?
The Roborock Saros 10R is the latest and most-featured robot vacuum on the market. If you need smooth mopping experience, the base that cleans itself so it doesn't stink afterwards, better get the Saros. It would be more precise with avoiding objects, smartly doing its job so you don't have to set it.
The robot has the latest base, the advanced roller system, and climbs on a higher obstacle when needed. For $200 more dollars, I would recommend considering the Saros hovewer, the Slim does seem like a great option if you don't mind lack of the premium features the Saros has.
