Roborock Qrevo S5V vs Saros 10R

The Roborock Qrevo series is the mid-class lineup made for homes of all sizes. However, the range is so wide that you could find expensive models like the Qrevo Curv, which is a premium robot vacuum, and the S5V, which is a mid-class robot that has Qrevo features, yet lacks many of them for a better experience. The Saros 10R is the top-tier robot vacuum that might have it all to compare to the cheapest modification, the Qrevo S5V.

The two seem very similar, with the same mopping system, cleaning mechanics, and an advanced self-cleaning station.

However, with a higher price tag, many upgrades are worth paying for.

Roborock mopping technology:

  • Features dual mops
  • Lifts the mops on the carpets
  • Extend the mop (and side brush) along the walls and around furniture
  • Washes and dries the mops at the station

The mopping system seems the same, but if you dive deep into the Saros series, you will see why it is a better mopping robot.

Best value

For mopping

Qrevo S5V

Reduced price for an advanced station

Best for the price

Compared to the latest models, the S5V's obstacle avoidance is not as advanced, and the robot lacks a Voice assistant and remote viewing; however, it has everything you wish for the price.

A rich-featured robot with premium functionallity for a reduced price

The Qrevo S5V lifts the pads on carpet, yet does not extend its side brush. It has a standard LDS tower and is taller than the Saros.

Ideal for homes with hard floors and some carpets

The station does not self-clean and uses cool water for washing the pads. The washboard requires manual cleaning, as well as the pads. The hot water pad wash removes odors, which is why it is preferable if you are going to use mopping often enough.

Roborock Saros 10R

The Saros 10R is a premium series that offers upgrades over the Qrevo in almost every feature.

Upgraded station

Roborock Saros 10R

The richest in features robot mop

One of the best on the market

The Saros has better obstacle avoidance, an adaptive lifting design for the robot to climb a higher obstacle that adapts into a cleaning environment automatically, and has the most advanced self-cleaning station.

StarSight 2.0 is a next-gen navigation system, thanks to which the robot has a shorter body

The Saros automatically lifts its side sweeper, roller brush, and mopping pad depending on the cleaning situation; it adapts cleaning settings relying on how often the household has been cleaned (SmartPlan 2.0).

The station uses hot water to refill the tank, wash the mops, and clean the base, which makes the robot a better option as a mopping robot than the previous models.

Dirt Detection: the robot intelligently identifies when the pads needs washing for re-wash and re-mop dirty areas

The Saros is a rich-featured robot that does the job of a vacuum and a mop at the same time. Intelligent enough to do the chores on its own.

The robot has 22k Pa of power which makes the Saros series the most powerful in the industry.

Which one to get?

What do we have? The Saros 10R features advanced navigation, a shorter body, better crossing abilities, a high-performance rate thanks to a few cleaning upgrades, and it is a much better mop.

The Roborock Saros 10R has a higher price tag, yet it is fully autonomous, offers advanced mopping options, and is powerful enough for vacuuming carpets.

The Qrevo S5V is a mid-class robot that is not that good at mopping (because of its cool water washing). The station is not maintenance-free (requires cleaning the tray and washing the pads manually). The robot has strong suction that is good for surface cleaning or to maintain the carpets clean daily. However, it is still one of the best values in the Qrevo series if you understand what it lacks compared to others.
