While the Saros 20 focuses on extreme suction and obstacle climbing, the Curv 2 Flow is Roborock’s first robot to integrate a wet/dry vacuum-style roller mop for superior hard floor scrubbing.

The biggest difference:
Mopping. The Saros 20 uses double rotating spinning pads, while the Curv2 Flo has a roller mop and two onboard water tanks.
Suction. The Saros 20 is better for carpets and pet owners.
The Dock. The Saros offers a slightly higher level of sterilization for the mopping hardware and also dries the dustbag.
The latest
Saros 20 key features:
- AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0
- Adaptive pressure for stains removal
- Warm water refill for hot mopping
- Height adjustment for carpet cleaning
- Dustbag dry
SmartPlan cleaning strategy has been updated, making the robot more autonomous. Cleaning carpets up to 3 cm thick.
Cleaning mechanics:
- 3x liftable design adjusts the chassis, main brush, and mop height based on the cleaning task.
- Deep carpet cleaning performance up to 1.18in / 3cm thick.
- Upgraded AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0 (up to 84mm threshold climb).
- The station dries the dustbag.
- Recognizes&avoids more than 300 types of objects.
The robot intelligently adjusts the body height for high-pile carpet cleaning (up to 1,18 in).
The dock's self-cleaning system includes dustbag drying
Mopping features:
- The station refills the tank with hot water
- Removes the pads in a suction-only mode
- Advanced self-cleaning technology
- Adjusts its height when it detects stains, applying extra pressure by lifting the omni-wheel
- With AI, it identifies stained areas and adjusts the cleaning strategy
Identifies stain type & adjusts cleaning strategy
What is the Saros 20 good for?
By removing the top LiDAR turret and embedding the sensors, it sits at just 3.14 inches tall, allowing it to go under couches and beds that the Curv 2 Flow cannot reach.
With 36,000 Pa, it is significantly more powerful than the Curv, making it the choice for homes with deep-pile rugs or heavy-shedding pets.
The robot also has better clearance.
Better mopping technology
Features
- A different mopping system
- Two onboard water tanks instead of one
- Mop roller cover
- Precise object avoidance technology
- SmartPlan 3.0
What is new?
A completely different mopping system contains two onboard water tanks and a roller mop.
Mopping features:
- Keeps the roller clean and scrapes dirt as the robot mops
- Extends the roller along the walls and corners
- Covers the roller on carpet
- Two zero-tangle side brushes instead of one
Roller Shield: When it detects carpet, it doesn't just lift the mop (up to 15 mm); it uses a physical shield to cover the wet roller so it doesn't touch your rug fibers.
The new mopping system is known for its improved performance and for consuming less water.
Higher Pressure: the roller applies 15 Newtons of downward pressure, which is roughly 2.5 times more than standard spinning pads, providing a deeper scrub.
Cleaning performance:
- Two anti-tangle side brushes
- Innovative tangle-free roller
- Switches to different modes on dry messes and liquid spills
- Knows and avoids over 200 types of objects
Summing up
Choose the Saros 20 if: You have high door thresholds, very low-clearance furniture, or mostly carpeted floors that require high suction. It is the better "all-arounder" for navigation.
Choose the Curv 2 Flow if: You have mostly hard floors (tile, hardwood, stone) and frequently deal with mud, spills, or kitchen grime. The roller mop system is fundamentally better at "washing" a floor rather than just "wiping" it.
