Roborock is known for its precise navigation; these two recognize and avoid small objects.
What is SmartPlan?
SmartPlan adapts the cleaning strategy by setting suction level and mopping modes for each room based on previous cleaning.
One of the most precise navigation technology on the market
Mopping
The two use the same FlexiArm mopping technology. It's a two-rotating pad system. The robot lifts the pads on the carpet, extends one along the walls, washes and dries them when the job is done, and refills the water tank before it starts.
Multi-functional dock
The two have the same station that features:
- Self-emptying
- Washing and drying the pads
- Filling the water tank
- Has a detachable washboard
All you have to do is fill the water container and start the robot.
The main difference between the two is:
Vacuuming: Suction and a different roller system.
Mopping: A mop extension and hot air pad drying.
Mid-Level QV 35S features:
- Standard all-rubber roller
- Dual anti-tangle system
- Has an advanced self-cleaning dock
- Avoids objects
- Smartly adapts to cleaning your home
QV 35S
Features upgrades over the previous generations
The robot has enough power for vacuuming carpets and is suited for pet owners
For homes with hard floors and some carpets
Best value: Qrevo S5V
The S5V is powerful, but lacks some premium lineup options. Features:
- Stronger suction
- Extend the mop along the walls
- Hot air drying
- DuoDivide rollers (featured in the latest Saros series)
- Features a 3-stage dynamic cleaning process
- Smartly adapts cleaning settings to your home
- Better for pets and handling pet hair
Compared to the latest Saros models, the S5V's obstacle avoidance is not as advanced, and the robot lacks a Voice assistant and remote viewing; however, it has everything you wish for the price.
A rich-featured robot with premium functionallity for a reduced price
Its newest roller system is better for homes with pets and for dealing with long human hair. With more power, the robot is suitable for homes with carpets.
As a mop, the robot does a better job at drying the pads with hot air and extending the pad along the walls and around the furniture.
Which one to get
Since the mopping system is the same and doesn't affect mopping performance, there are other things to think of before buying a robot vacuum.
Editor's choice: Qrevo S5V
If you have pets or need extra power for carpet cleaning, the latest roller system that is almost maintenance-free, get the Qrevo S5V. Honestly, it looks like a better buy as a mop and as a vacuum.
If you don't need that latest roller system or extra power for a home with mostly hard floors, the QV 35S is a good buy.
