Roborock has released another three powerful Qrevo modifications that have some new bells to bring to the table and a lot of power for effective cleaning. The newest Qrevo promises a smooth experience when the robot vacuum cleaner mops the floors and does not just drag the dirty mopping plate around the house.

The Qrevo is a premium lineup with a smaller base (compared to the S series), yet it has almost the same functions.

Multi-functional base 3.0

The multi-functional base has 8-in-1 hands-free maintenance. It does the following things:

  1. Self-empty
  2. Auto-wash the mops with hot water
  3. Auto-fill the water tank
  4. Cleans the dock base with hot water (except for the Qrevo Slim)
  5. The detachable dock base has an upgraded design, so it stays nice and clean after every wash and is easier to maintain
  6. Dries the mopping pads with hot air
  7. DirtDetect monitors the dirt levels, adjusting the wash duration, and if it detects heavy stains, the robot returns to the dock to re-wash the mops
  8. Fast charging & Off-peak charging

All you have to do is fill the water container and start the robot.

Navigation

The Edge and Curve use the same LIDAR and Reactive AI Obstacle Recognition as the older models.

The Qrevo Slim has a mix of innovative solid-state Lidar, thanks to which it has a short body that reaches under most furniture and is less likely to be damaged and a ToF system. It is called the StarSight Autonomous System.

It provides an understanding of the surroundings, enabling precise navigation.

The New Brushroll System

The DuoRoller Riser Brush is a two-brushroll system we've seen in the previous Roborock S8 series. It provides superior pick up on carpets and hard floors and leaves hair no chance to tangle thanks to concealed scrapers.

The DuoDivide is a new system with two short bristles rollers with spiral blades that channel hair to the central dustbin inlet where it gets sucked up via 10,000Pa suction.

The newest Roborock Qrevo mainain hair tangles like a pro

Mopping

The new robots extend a side brush and mopping pad when going along the walls and edges for deeper cleaning in corners and hard-to-reach places. It is called FlexiArm side brush and mop.

When sensors detect carpets, in mopping mode, the robot lifts the mopping pads to leave the carpet dry. The robot also lifts the pads in a Vacuum-only mode.

In mop-only mode, the robot lifts up a brushroll and when returns to docks it lifts up both.

The Qrevo Edge and Curve have the AdaptLift Chassis system that enables the chassis to lift by 10mm or elevate the front, left, rear, or right sections. Thanks to it, the robot climbs up to 4 cm, which is the highest in the industry. This feature lifts the chassis and mops on mid-to-long-pile carpets.

The DirtDetect is a bunch of sensors that monitor the dirt levels and make the robot return to the dock to rewash the mops when they are dirty, if the stains are too heavy to get rid of on the first try.

Overall, the mopping experience with the Qrevo is at a new level.

When cleaning is done, the station washes the mops with hot water, cleans the dock base, and dries them with hot air to be clean and fresh for the next cleaning.

You don't have to worry about carpets, a Qrevo will automatically do everything for you.

Pet-friendly robot

When operating, the robot detects a pet and stops; during cleanups, it takes pictures of your pet that you can download; it allows video calling and talking to your pet in two-way voice chat.

Roborock Qrevo Slim

The Slim navigates by using StarSight Autonomous System: a hidden Lidar that makes the robot shorter.

Upgraded station

Roborock Qrevo Slim

With hidden Lidar, the robot gets under most furniture

The shortest yet is not the most powerful

Has StarSight, which is the newest mapping technology, thanks to which the robot goes under most furniture. Knows the largest number of small objects to avoid. It uses the same Dual rollers and lacks the AdaptLift Chassis, so it can't go under anything higher than 20 mm.

Compared to the Edge modification, S5A, the Slim features a voice assistant and remote viewing.

Roborock Qrevo Edge S5A

The Qrevo Edge is a premium robot in the Roborock lineup, but it lacks some bells and whistles of the Saros series.

Best Value

Roborock Qrevo Edge S5A

Stronger suction

Premium Qrevo features. A smaller base

Made for homes with carpets and hard floors

It is one of the best in the lineup, but the Curv station has some extras the Edge lacks.

Roborock Qrevo Curv S5X

The newest

Roborock Qrevo Curv S5X

Upgraded self-cleaning station

Advanced app control

When washing the mopping pads, the upgraded base station allows choose water temperature (room temperature, warm, and hot water), wash mode (smart, light, balanced, deep), and warm air drying duration (2, 3, 4 hours).

Roborock Qrevo Curv S5X is the most advanced robot vacuum in the lineup

Qrevo Curv vs Roborock Qrevo Curv S5X. The modification lacks:

  • Adaptilift chassis
  • remote viewing
  • voice assistant

To Sum Up

The Roborock Qrevo Slim is thin but lacks some extras like self-cleaning with warm water, which might cause odors, and requires manual cleaning every other time.

As to the Qrevo Curv S5X and Qrevo Edge S5A, it all depends on your preference, the station design, and whether you need the adjustable cleaning settings or not. The standard modifications, Qrevo Edge and Qrevo Curv, are hard to find these days.
