Ecovacs recently developed three new flagship robot vacuum cleaners, the Ecovacs Deebot X1 OMNI, X1 Turbo, and X1 Plus.
Let's take a look at the difference between these three models.

The differences between the OMNI, Turbo, and Plus robot vacuums
All three robots are identical and have the same features and specs, except for the mopping system. The Ecovacs Deebot X1 OMNI and Turbo use OZMO Turbo mopping technology with two spinning scabbing mopping pads. The X1 Plus, on the other hand, uses an OZMO Pro mopping system with an oscillating mopping plate.
It also has a larger water tank: 200 ml vs. 80 ml in the X1 OMNI and X1 Turbo. But the smaller water tank size in the X1 OMNI/Turbo doesn't really matter as these robots have an automatic water refilling base.
The X1 Plus has an air freshener built into the water tank. The X1 OMNI has a silver ion water sterilization (optional in the X1 Turbo model).
Other than that, there seem to be no differences between these robot vacuums. The main difference is in the automatic base stations that come with the robots.
The differences between the auto-cleaning bases
The Ecovacs Deebot X1 OMNI has the most advanced universal base that empties the robot's dustbin, refills the water tank, washing the mopping pads, and drying them after mopping. The base has two 4L large water containers for clean and dirty water. There is also a 2.5L disposable dust bag that holds dust for up to 60 days. After finishing the job, the base will wash and dry the mopping pads with hot hair.

Washes and auto-empties itself
The Ecovacs Deebot X1 Turbo base refills the water tank, washes, and dries the mopping pads, but it doesn't collect dust from the robot's dustbin. Unlike the OMNI base, the Turbo base dries the mopping pad with cold hair, which takes a bit longer (6 hours vs. 2 hours).
The Ecovacs Deebot X1 Plus base doesn't refill or wash the mopping pad but automatically empties the robot's dustbin. The base is equipped with a 3.2L disposable dust bag.
The newest ECOVACS DEEBOT X2 OMNI
This model has upgraded navigation and avoidance technology so is better at figuring out your home compared to the previous X1 OMNI.
It has more power and a bigger battery which makes it perfect for big houses covered with carpets. The newest dual-laser LIDAR navigation technology detects objects up to 10 meters away at a 210-degree angle so the robot doesn't get stuck around furniture.
The D-shape bode is made for efficient cleaning along the walls and corners. The robot lifts its two rotating mopping pads up to 15 mm when it detects carpets which prevents unnecessary mopping on carpets.
To sum up
The DEEBOT X1 PLUS uses a mopping plate and is mostly made as a vacuum with a mopping ability. So not the best option if you are looking for a robot vacuum that would clean hard floors.
The DEEBOT X1 Turbo is more of a mopping robot vacuum that doesn't have the self-emptying function. Made for cleaning hard floors yet is recommended to wash the pads manually since the station dries them with cool air to prevent odors.
The DEEBOT X1 OMNI is an all-in-one machine that dries the pads with hot air and has a self-emptying feature. So it is a good choice for homes with a mixed surface and pet owners.
The DEEBOT X2 OMNI lifts up the mopping pads instead of avoiding carpets, has all the features the X1 OMNI does, is a lot more powerful, and has a better navigation system. So I would recommend the X2 OMNI if you need this mopping experience.
