Ecovacs expands its product line with a new robot vacuum cleaner, the Ecovacs Deebot T10. There are also alternative variants of the T10 model with different types of self-cleaning bases:
- a regular charging dock
- an auto mop washing base (T10 Turbo)
- a self-emptying base (T10 Plus)
The self-washing and self-emptying bases are very similar to the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Turbo and X1 Plus bases.
What do we know so far about the Ecovacs Deebot T10?
The T10 looks like a more affordable alternative to the X1 model. It also uses a Lidar to build a map and navigate around most efficiently. It has an obstacle avoidance technology AIVI 3.0 based on a front camera and is supposed to detect, recognize, and avoid small objects on the floor, such as cables, socks, toys, pet poop, etc.
According to Ecovacs, the new camera has a wide 148.3° field of view and the ability to detect even moving objects in the dark. It's also can be used as a security camera so you can check your home when you are away in real-time and even in low light conditions.
The T10 Plus has a mopping function, but unlike the X1 and T10 Turbo, it uses an oscillating mopping pad instead of the two spinning mops.
The vibrating mopping pad is supposed to provide better mopping performance, especially with dry stains.
An ultrasonic sensor underneath can recognize carpets with high accuracy so the robot will not go on carpets when the mopping pad is attached.
The T10 delivers 3000 Pa of suction power. Not as strong as the X1 which provides up to 5000 Pa suction power, but still powerful compared to competitors from other brands. Based on our experience, Ecovacs robot vacuums have pretty good cleaning performance on both carpets and bare floors.
A 5200mAh battery lasts up to 195 min on low suction power mode. This will be enough to clean a 200 sqm house on a single charge. When the battery gets low, it will return to the charging base, recharge, and continue cleaning from the spot it left off.
The Ecovacs Deebot T10 comes with a built-in air freshener so it leaves every room in your house smelling good after cleaning.
The Ecovacs Deebot T10 Turbo with an auto-washing base
The T10 Turbo model comes with an auto-washing and water refilling base. The base has two large water containers, one for clean and one for dirty water.
It washes the robot's mopping pad a few times per cleaning cycle and when the job is finished, then dries the mop with cool air and refills the robot's water tank with fresh water. You don't need to wash the mopping cloth by hand or in a washing machine and the floor will be much cleaner as the robot returns to the base and washes the mop a few times during the mopping cycle.
The Ecovacs Deebot T10 Plus with an auto-emptying base
Unlike the T10 Turbo, the T10 Plus can't wash the mopping pads, but instead, it empties the robot's dustbin after cleaning.
The auto-emptying base uses a 3.2L disposable bag for the dust collected from the dustbin, enough for 60 days of usage in an average house.
New app features
The Ecovacs Home app now has a new 3D view of your house. After the first run, the robot will create a map that you can edit later and add furniture to the 3D view.
You can also use the robot as a security camera to check your home when you are away. The robot also supports voice commands via Alexa and Google Home.
The T10 Plus model is already available on the official website. The T10 Turbo is not listed on the website, but it's already available on Aliexpress for $799.00.
