Recently, the flagship Dreame Z10 Pro robot vacuum cleaner received a new firmware update. Some users had issues with the previous firmware related to object avoidance (one, two, three) and this update seems like solving them.
The 4.1.8_1099 firmware changelog:
1. Support voice control via XiaoAI speaker to clean the specific area.
2. Optimize obstacle avoidance performance.
3. Deep mopping - move in a tighter pattern to provide a better cleaning effect.
We didn't test the new firmware yet, but I really hope obstacle avoidance optimization includes fixing the robot avoided carpets issues.
The new deep mopping feature with a tighter pattern looks like something similar to the Roborock S7 has, it should improve mopping performance as it will cover the same area twice.
