You can schedule your Neato to work at a specific time. With the Multiple Floor plans and No-Go Lines, you can set the cleaner to work on every floor.

Mapping and Navigation

The Neato robots are equipped with LaserSmart technology. It scans and maps your entire house, creating a floor plan for your robot to follow.

The robot navigates in straight lines instead of a random pattern. Thanks to the laser housed inside the tower, the vacuum doesn't require light on in the room and can work on dark carpets.

Battery life and Recharge & Resume feature

The Botvac D6 and D7 Connected run up to 120 minutes (tested on a combination of hard floors and carpet) The Neato Botvac D4 Connected operates up to 75 minutes.

Each of the robots cleans in Eco and Turbo mode. Eco mode provides quieter cleaning when the Turbo mode ensures deep cleaning on carpeting surface. Please note, the Turbo Mode drains a battery faster.

If Neato’s batteries run low while cleaning it will know to head home and recharge all by itself. It will find its way back to its charge base, recharge, and head back out to resume cleaning right where it left off. Neato can run three times and recharge itself up to two times during a cleaning cycle.

Filter type

The D4 Connected is equipped with a High Performance filter. It is perfect for homes with pets and those who are allergy sensitive. The filter captures dust particles and reduces allergens in your home.

The D6 and D7 Connected come with an Ultra Performance Filter. This filter captures the smallest particles (up to 0.3 microns) in the air. The filter has the new latch design that makes it easier to remove. The Ultra Performance Filter is the best for those who concerned with allergies by minimizing particulates in the air.

No-Go Lines + Boundaries

"No-Go Lines" is virtual boundaries you can set around places you want the Neato robot to avoid. After creating the lines in the Neato app, the robot will not go over specific areas within your home.

The Neato D6 and D7 Connected have magnetic marks in the box. Use the strips to make a room or an area off-limits to the Neato robot. The cleaner will recognize the area and avoid the area.

Multiple Floor plans

Multiple floor plans feature allows the robot to hold in memory up to three different floor plans. So now you can set up No-Go Lines on every floor.

Present in the Neato Botvac D6 and D7 Connected models.

Zone cleaning

With zone cleaning, you can target trouble areas in your home more frequently. Make a zone for the dinner table, and send the robot to take care of the targeted area.

It is the new feature that is only presented in the Botvac D7 Connected.

Find Me

Find me feature allow to find the robot by it started beeping after pressing the robot icon on the Neato app. There is no Find Me option in the Neato D4 Connected robot.

With quick boost charging, the robot calculates the amount of power needed to finish, charges accordingly, and gets back to cleaning faster.


Which one to buy: The Botvac D4 Connected, Botvac D6 Connected or the flagship Botvac D7 Connected

All the Neato robots are smart machines worth every penny spent on it. Neato performs great on both: carpetes flooring (except thick carpets) and bare floors. The D-shape makes it one of the best on the market when it comes to corner cleaning. The wide brush covers more area when cleaning than regular brushes round robots have. Thanks to the combo brush and spiral combo brush, the robot is suitable for homes with pets.

Laser navigation helps the Neato to cover the whole cleaning area without missing a spot.

The Neato Botvac D4 Connected is ideal for small and medium-sized homes. With 75 minutes of battery life and no side sweeper, the D4 Connected is perfect for houses covered with carpets and mixed surfaces. Unfortunately, it doesn't support multi-floor plans and zone cleaning yet it has No-Go Lines that can be used to block it from crossing particular zones.

The Neato Botvac D6 Connected is suitable for medium and big-sized houses. It can be a great helper in a small home too though. Great for homes with all types of surfaces (except thick carpets). There is no Zone cleaning feature however it supports No-Go Lines. Please note, the D6 Connected requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity.

The Neato Botvac D7 Connected is a high-end model. It has Zoned cleaning and holds up to three floors in memory. You can set No-Go Lines on every floor and schedule it to work at a specific time, the robot will recognize where it needs to clean and do the rest. And, the D7 Connected requires both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz speed which makes it easier to connect the cleaner to Wi-Fi. Ideal for larger homes with a mix of both: carpets and bare floors.
