Roborock S7 vs. Q7 Max Comparison

The Roborock S7 and Q7 might seem almost identical but there are some differences between the two. The cleaning mechanics are almost identical or at least the main brushroll is the same as well as vacuuming technology. Both robots have a HEPA filter.

Roborock S7 vs. Q7 the difference

Firstly, its suction, the Roborock Q7 has more power.

The self-emptying base is different too. The Roborock S7 dustbag capacity is bigger which means it can hold debris for longer.

The Q7 water tank is a bit larger too so it can cover a bigger area.

The biggest difference between the two is the mopping system.

The Roborock S7 mopping pad vibrates and lifts up on carpet. The Roborock Q7 lacks this option. It has a standard mopping pad that drags the cloth around it does not vibrate and doesn't have a lifting function.

Which one to buy?

Both models are suitable either for homes with carpets or hard floors only, pet owners, big multi-level houses, etc.

The Roborock S7 is very convenient to use in homes with a mixed surface when there are carpets that have to be vacuumed and hard floors to be mopped on one charge. You don't have to run the robot in vacuuming mode and then do the same with mopping. It all goes in one cleaning cycle.

The Roborock Q7 on the other hand is better for medium-pile carpets as it has more power. Ideal for homes with mostly carpets and some hard floors area. Since you have to either vacuum or mop the floors depending on the surface and needs, the Roborock Q7 is not as convenient for mixed surfaces but still can be used on such. The robot is still able to vacuum the floors as it mops but you have to set no-go zones on the carpeted areas and then do the vacuuming only on those zones.
