Roborock S5: Mopping Mode

Questions & Answers

What is mopping mode and why you need to select it when you want the Roborock to mop your floors?

Mopping mode shuts off suction so the robot won't catch up small debris, just mop the floor. Useful if you run the robot after vacuuming.

If you want the robot to pick up debris and mop, go with standard mode after attaching the water tank and mopping cloth.

Is robot mop do anything? If so, help to decide on the best one

Discussions

Hi there, the title says pretty much all. The idea of having a robot mop is great but do I need to get one with mopping if it does nothing at all? I was eyeing the Roborock S5, Roomba m6 and maybe new Xiaomi. Is there absolutely the best robot mop? Any help is appreciated.

The New Dyson 360 Heurist: Unique Features or More Things To Improve?

Community Reviews

The new Dyson 360 Heurist is a unique model on the market that does and does not look like the robot vacuums we used to know at the same time.
One of the things to notice — its charging base that is sleek, slim, and foldable and it looks really minimalist and does not take a lot of space in terms of storing the vacuum.
It is taller than most robot but at the same time smaller in diameter. This shape has pros and cons. The Dyson can navigate around most obstacles without getting stuck, but at the same time, it's tall enough to not fit under every furniture in the house.

iRobot Braava Jet M6 Keep Out Zones Update

Discussions

The mopping robot from iRobot Braava Jet m6 finally got an update and received Keep Out Zones (No-Mop zones) meaning the Braava m6 is able to avoid carpets when is mopping. This feature is ideal for keeping your robot away from pet bowls, clutter, or other areas where your robot has difficulty navigating. No more wet carpets when the m6 is operating, with Keep Out Zones your surface is safe.

The previous generations used physical Virtual Wall Barriers to do so but they were limited and now Roomba supports virtual walls that can be shaped the way you need it. You can set as many Keep Out Zones as you want by using the iHome app.
Not only the m6 gets an update, the Roomba i7+, and s9+ also have it.

iRobot is the first company that has established no-go zones into camera-based robots.

Watch how it works in the video made by Robot Masters

Help Me Decide on a Robot Vacuum

Forum

So far I am choosing between:

1. Deebot Ozmo 950
2. 360 S7
3. Roborock S6
4. Proscenic M7
5. Xiaomi Mijia (the new model that just came out)
6.*potentially also considering a Roomba S9+ and a bravaa mop but i dont think my place is big enough for 2 robots and my 110 pound dog.
I currently live in a large, 1 bedroom apartment. Most of the floors are made of hardwood but there is one very large shag rug (high pile — in the living room) and a small shag rug in the bedroom (only about a foot comes out from under the bed). The rest is hardwood flooring.

I also have a Pet that sheds an obscene amount.

Lastly — I do not want to skimp on the robot vac. I am looking for the absolute best one for my needs — so a slightly worse robot but less expensive would be irrelevant to me. I simply want the top one.

Any thoughts?

Knowing the details above
