Product Description


Mapping & Navigation

The machine is equipped with an LDS sensor that hides inside the tower. The laser scans a cleaning area to create a map based on the floor layout. When it's done mapping, the cleaner calculates the most efficient way of cleaning.

Unlike other robots that do not map and move randomly, the DEEBOT R95 navigates back-and-forth in straight lines methodically covering the room based on the map it has created.

Mapping helps the robot to save time when cleaning, it does not go over the same spots twice thus saving battery energy.


It comes equipped with a water reservoir and mop attachment. The container is not big, it is not suitable for mopping larger areas though you can do it manually filling the tank with water when it gets dry to keep the DEEBOT going in the mop mode. This feature is not able to get rid of stubborn stains, but it's nice not to have to do the mopping yourself.

Battery life, Recharge & Resume

The battery life is 90 minutes. With the recharge & resume option, the DEEBOT R95 is suitable for small and average homes. When its battery runs out of energy, the cleaner returns to the dock, recharging and resumes cleaning from the place it left off. If the cleaner finished cleaning before it needed to recharge, it automatically docks itself.


The R95 is compatible with Alexa-enabled devices and Google Home. If you own any of these, you can control the device with your voice. Because there is no remote controller in the box, you can also manage the robot's movements with the ECOVACS app.

Also, you can manually control the vacuum using buttons on the lid.

Suction inlet

In the box, there is a cleaning brush with a suction inlet. The inlet works better on bare floors and pet hair since the rotating brush fills with hair after every cleaning. Remove the brush bar cassette and install a rubber-bladed inlet nozzle. This concentrates the suction for better pick-up without the brush.


In the ECOVACS app, you can start/stop the robot, send it to recharge, switch between cleaning modes, schedule the machine to work at a specific time, etc.

In the app, you can see mapping progress which is satisfying.

If you don't want the DEEBOT to go to a living room, on the created map, you can set digital block offs so the robot will not go to that particular room.

There are always rooms that are dirtier than others, like saying a kitchen. For these purposes, there is an ability to create zoned cleaning. If you want the cleaner to work in the kitchen only, you can set cleaning there, by drawing a rectangle, and the vacuum will clean within this area.

Also, ECOVACS offers another useful feature calling prioritizing cleaning areas. Since some rooms are dirtier than others due to traffic, the ECOVACS app offers to set where the robot should clean first.

Cleaning performance

Thanks to the mopping feature, the DEEBOT R95 is ideal for hard floors. The suction is on the weaker side. The climbing ability of 16 mm makes the robot suitable for thin carpets only. On carpets, its performance is just about passable for light dusting. The robot is better for homes with mostly bare floors and occasional thin carpets though is good as an additional helper for your traditional cleaner. If you run it more often you will decrease the needs to vacuum with your traditional one.

The ECOVACS DEEBOT R95 is a great and smart machine that remembers where it cleans. The app offers a lot and is intuitive to use. Mopping makes the device perfect for homes with hard floors. Although it is not able to provide deep cleaning on carpets, the vacuum is still suitable for thin carpets.

Perfect for homes with a mixed surface and no thick carpets.
